Love the Logan Webb shoutout. The Cy Young runner up last year speaks for itself but I think I bet many baseball fans would be shocked to know over the last three seasons Webb has a higher ERA+ than Spencer Strider, Zac Gallen and Pablo Lopez.
Definitely think he’s underrated. Thats mostly in part because he’s suffered such freak injuries over the past couple years in which as soon as he catches fire, he goes down and people forget about him. I think he’s a real solid hitter
Good job on the list. I have Tucker, Harris and Naylor. Tucker was my first round (mid round) pick and I was glad to get Harris in the third round and Naylor somewhere late in the second half of the draft in my home league. They're all great players. The only negative I see so far is that Naylor put on a couple more pounds and has been caught stealing twice already this year, he may not steal this season. That's fine though, he gives you everything else and doesn't strike out too much while not costing much. If he has the kind of year I think he will have, he will be on everyone's radar next year. People shouldn't forget about Alec Bohm, he may have a surprisingly good year this year as well.
To be completely fair, he was terrible the first week of the season and absolutely unbelievable the past week. Too early to tell what we will see over a course of a full season
I traded cody bradford and merrill kelly for castillo and yelich and picked up lindor off the wire heh, mitch keller and eflin are both fa’s too so i could pick them up if i wanted to
Just to be fair, here are five of mine that you can disagree with. Vlad Guerrero, Cavan Biggio, Bo Bichette, (sorry Toronto) Michael Conforto and Clayton Kershaw.
Someone to watch not on your list here is Alec Marsh of the Royals. He’s back to having the dominant Fastball he had in the Minor Leagues and has finally figured how to fix one of his two main issues in his BB rate. It wouldn’t shock me if he was regarded the same way Miller and Woo were after last season when this season is over…
Jesus loves you. This is not a bot, this isn’t for likes, I just want want the one reading this to find the peace that he provides knowing he is taking care of everything. He loves you, repent and accept into your heart if you have not already. Only by his blood can we enter heaven, only by what he accomplished.
I like the list. Where would you rank a guy like Mike Trout for this year? Obviously is one of the best players in baseball but needs to stay healthy. Good video 👍
Really appreciate it. You got it, it’s all up to health for Trout. If he plays 140+ it’s hard not to have him in the top 5 honestly. That is a big if tho…
Honestly if I made a part 2, he would more than likely be included. I think he could have a pretty solid year, though not sure of the upside, but he could have a season similar to wells of last year
Great video, but bring some emotion! you sound like the burgerking foot lettuce guy. This is baseball! put some emotion into your words and your channel will explode!
I actually already classify him as having broken out already to be honest. He was arguably the best pitcher in baseball since the moment he stepped on the mound last year. That’s the reason he wasn’t included here
Huge Reds fan and sadly, yes he is. CES is the better player. Elly needs to work on those strike outs and lazy, trying to be flashy field errors. I'm hoping the best for the kid, but as of now, he's definitely overrated.
I do disagree on Luis Arráez, who is more of a throwback to when average mattered in the game, as it should. He and Juan Soto are the only guys in the game who draw more walks than they strikeout, and if he were on a better team he'd easily have 100+ runs with his .379 career OBP. The man is a .326 lifetime hitter! He's kind of Wade Boggs lite. Not as good at getting on base, but about the same power. Wade's in the HOF. I think Elly has the potential to be great, his athleticism is off the charts, but he's seriously gotta cut down on the strikeouts and draw more walks to get there. He showed this ability to an extent in the minors, though he has always been strikeout prone
I think that reason you just mentioned is why I think he’s overrated honestly. You said he’s just a rookie and yet many are already stating they think he’s one of the better players around the league which isn’t true because he hasn’t showed it yet
I personally don’t think Kyle is overrated while he does have bad strike out % he didn’t make the league for his contact he made it for his power and 40+ homer seasons and fielding is bad but he is not on the Phillies to be a gold glover he on the Phillies to be a homer hitter That’s my take don’t flame me
I disagree with arraez being overrated. The guy is a pure contact hitter and in my opinion comparable to the late great Tony Gwynn. In fact, Tony played 20 years and hit a combined 135 HR’s, that’s an average of 6+ home runs a season, yet no one would call him overrated because his bat didn’t have “pop”. Home runs are great but for certain players it shouldn’t diminish their greatness. I hope arraez remains health and has a long and productive career and is remembered like Gwynn was for the contact hitters they were.
He’s still a great hitter, not denying that. He has a skill that basically no other hitter has comparable to him, but in the end he’s still a singles hitter and that only goes so far. If that average even drops to around 300-310 this season he becomes a whole lot less value despite is still being one of the best in the league in that area
Schwarber is amazing he walks, hits for power, and scores a ton of runs. He also is an iron man and played every game last year. I would say Bryce Harper is overrated. This Phillies is Kyle’s team and Zack’s
Gelof over Miller. If MM is supposedly a bullpen stud, that will be negated by a lack of reliable starters for bullpen relevance. Every arm will be taxed by May.
Elly i agreed with same with schwarber areaez i was okay with but both adolis and snell takes are horrible even tho yes snell had the most walks it is a skill to get out of jams amd i dont care what you say if you look at numbers for pitchers ERA is all that matters if you dont allow runs you are doing your job and for adolis the rangers dont win the world series without him so he instantly cant be overrated
