Hey everyone thanks for the comments. As Dave said a steamer / extractor combo would probably work a lot better than just extracting it. As I forgot the detail geek had. He had a Frankenstein steamer / extractor combo
No, vi como sacaste la cerradura, veo que entra de manera facil, estoy por recibir de Amazon, esas cerraduras, para mi Town car, del 2003.saludos desde mexico.
the problem with the air suspension is that the pivot arm that measures the ride high had come off when they undercoated it. Probably due to it being greasy. I cleaned it up and reconnected it. and the air suspension came back up. :)
my friends got a 2011DTS that also has visor mirrors small and not aligned as well as the town cars but holding up a lot better than these before the fix
There's a lot of incorrect names of things like calling metal screws plastic and nuts bolts. Hope you get the idea. Sorry TLDR: The upper screws go into plastic studs. The plastic studs are under a lot of stress when you move it up and down causing them to shear apart. Hence the sloppiness.
I seem to have messed up some trimming. It's all over the place. But makes it more entertaining! oooo what is he going to talk about next???? Anyway... were was i?
Hey man, are you located in the Des Moines area? I parked up next to two towncars a while back, one black and one white, both with identical wheels AND tires to yours. It was by the DMACC campus? I parked mine in the middle and it was fun.
I just went through and looked at your other videos, I'm like 99% sure I parked mine between yours. I even took a picture of all three together. I'd love to get in contact with you! I have an 04 ultimate and I love it :)
Quite the shock, but I'm glad you like it. My original plan would making these clips is that they were going to be separate videos. But both of it I end up did not recording so I thought I would combine them all into one video and throw it on RU-vid.
I keep my Town Car in the garage. My Mercedes sits under a carport and I have a car cover for it. You can see it in my last video. It has a zipper by the drivers door which is nice but it broke so now the cover is “open”. The other problem is it blows off the rear a lot.
No it’s not a Mercedes. My S500 can fold down the rear headrest with a button and the front seat ones go up and down electric. My Town Car does not. But it’s not needed.
@@EnthusiastCarHangar Thats my friend. has just messing around, he knows. Would be nice if they did! having to reach over your head to change them can be difficult for less flexible people.
Forgot to mention, that the max volume can be limited by the driver by turning the volume up on the control nob upfront on the head unit. Whatever its set as the rear passengers cannot go above that set point
I don't know why it says anything about instrument cluster you never removed it .. you never even touched the instrument cluster. You just remove the dash panel and replace it & Radio
Just fixed my power trunk on my 2010 and any idea why when it goes up the motor continues to run for an extra second even tho the trunk is in its highest position then falls like a inch down? wonder if there is an adjustment for how far up you want it to go, it seems like its tryna open it further then what it should.
The THX is amazing. The tweeters on the door sills really make a difference when you hear the vocals and the high notes of music. Any track I play sounds amazing. Afterall the speakers are tuned for the shape of the car. I got the latest and last map update CD they made for this, version 8D made in 2010. It's outdated, I don't use it. I got google maps for that. But it's so cool having the only panther flatform that had factory navigation. The voice commands are nice, well by 06 standards I guess, they're good for switching tracks or the type of media that's playing without looking at the head unit and moving your hand away from the steering wheel. Just wish it had a bit more commands like asking it to go to "Satellite 11" as in station 11 or FM 107.5. But it does have lots of voice commands for navigation.
I love my 2011 Town car, but they suffer from the crappy plastic syndrome. I never look forward to any interior dismantling project because the odds of self induced plastic breakage is very high. That and the fact that these plastics do not seem to age well. The Texas sun is no help. Oddly, the plastic quality is higher in my Grand Marquis. You have a very nice looking Town Car and a big thank-you for helping me understand how this thing comes apart to avoid any breakage. Cheers!
After 2007 they changed where the panther platforms are assembled cuz they closed the wixom assembly plant. The 08+ suffer from this issue you're talking about. But with all plastic they age and get brittle and as you say the sun is no help bb
