We have this standar din Australia also with the side mirror camera. Yes you have to push Enter to make it come on and its only really for parking (not whilst driving)
Horrible video I was trying to follow along with the installment but you fast foward in some parts that i'm very confused about because I COULDN'T FOLLOW ALONG BECAUSE THE PLAYBACK WAS TOOOOO FAST!!!!
Hello I have a 1976 Sunstar that has been in family since new, but has recently stopped working, I believe that the condenser in the DCC and the amp.have gone bad do to age. Do you have any suggestions to help me get her back in the family? Thank you and I love your short 2ndA Garry
The capacitors on the DCC has probably failed and needs to be replaced with new equivalent rated capacitors on the circuit board. Also the contacts within the DCC should be properly cleaned using electronic parts cleaner and thick paper stock making sure not to damage the contacts.
I have the Topaz, purchased it in early 1993. I have had to fix several things along the way, I’m on amplifier number 2, (original SHP-1 was beyond repair, replaced with SHP-3, so far so good) replaced a few capacitors in the power supply, and the red box once. We still play it daily. When I was a teenager, I worked at a restaurant where they had a Davinci. I would LOVE to have ended up with that one as I love the design on the front, tried to track it down after the restaurant sold out, but no luck. You have some really nice ones on here!😀
I never knew there is a front camera! I am totally thinking of doing it. However, I can't seem to find the harness for the front camera. Do you have a link?
Thanks for this video! I've got the camera and harness and about to install this soon. Had a question though about the screws. The camera has holes for three screws but seems theres only one already in the bumper and no screws were packaged with the camera. Did find those screws somewhere or just had a few lying around?
Great video, this same system works for a full equipment 2019 forester model, and where you can get that type of camera, which can be connected to the harness that you recommend in another comment, thanks for your help.
@@SonikJesus I don't have my VA anymore but if I remember right, it's the same way (press down and hold). To activate the camera is to press and release.
Thanks. I am contemplating the WRX S4 bezels for my base trim. Since I want to keep the OE turn indicator, I just need the led DRL strip. I might even use the opportunity to add fogs to my base 'while I'm in there'. This video helped answer a few questions. Cheers.
It’s awesome but why need a front camera when the front windshield if right there. Just look right out the windshield why look at a 4 in screen when you have a four foot windshield. Unless it’s able to record. Then it could make it worth the install
....when pulling forward in to a parking space (or drive) it can help with judging distance to the curb/barrier/wall so that you don't rip off your front spoiler/splitter.
very cool! i think its suppose to show front camera when you put it into 1st 🤷♂️, the enter button i think comes as a view/enter. been looking for videos for the jdm bezels for the 18 up models, thank you
...sure, you can always cut wires, strip the insulation back and then crimp or solder the wires together. A much more involved process. The t-taps just eliminate the splicing/crimping/soldering. It all depends on your ability or preference.
I don't have any pictures of that, sorry. but I just found areas within the bumper itself and guided the wire away from the radiator into the battery compartment area.
