Awesome! I’m gonna give that a try on piano 😅 any further tips on how one chooses the notes that Aren’t in the arpeggio? Asking for the rest of the class
It’s such a simple thing but I love how the last section is repeated, now any other versions I hear that don’t include that feel like they’re missing something

Hello, I bought a udmx cable that is a straight cable with female dmx conection to a usb for the pc, I’ve tried many ways to make the pc recognize the usb and make it work but it never worked, if you know what do I have to do , that would help a lot.
I just finished a basic course in lighting for events and I want to dedicate to work with bands. This video really puts me in the mindset to prep everything. Thank you for taking the time to submit this!
Our man jack is king of the Pumpkin patch everyone hail to the Pumpkin King now! This is Halloween! This is Halloween, Halloween! Halloween Halloween Halloween!
Hello there. I have done my bachelor's degree in some different field but have learnt music theory vocals and piano along with that from a private institute but not with the Bachelor's degree. Now I am going for masters degree in music. Will it be a good idea ?? Plzz reply
Love that last jam! The sound of the Sweet actually reminds me of the band the Sweet! Real Desolation Boulevard texture! Apparently Lou Reed was the second person to play the pedal, after Fran Blanche who created it. Great video!
@DAnielCarballaMusic I'm 6 years late seeing this, but i'm not sure if i'm missing something here. 2:48-3:55 You're saying that you assign scenes to a MIDI note in ShowExpress, then route your MIDI notes in Logic to ShowExpress in order to trigger them... But then you mention that you're taking the MIDI file from LOGIC & sending it to Ableton, & then sending it back to Show Express; Both DAWS have MIDI and audio, so what is the point of using both DAW programs rather than just one? Sounds like a bunch of extra steps that aren't necessary, but hopefully you can clarify.
Hey Brandon, good question. At the time it was simply because I was more comfortable and fast writing midi in logic. Nowadays for any lighting programming in ableton I’ve gotten quick enough in that program that it’s a non-issue.
@@DanielCarballalMusic Thx bro! That makes sense. I'm trying to decide between ShowXpress & DMXIS, & although i'm a ProTools guy, I want to have the least chance for errors/crashes (that i'd be at risk for if I tried to use a VST>AAX wrapper), so i'd be running it off Logic. I think the only factor that has me undecided at this point is the conflicting information in regards to ShowXpress compatibility with Mac. On the website, they claim that the Chauvet ShowXpress Software works with Mac, but the Chauvet DMX interfaces don't & they make it sound like the Chauvet lighting won't work with non-Chauvet DMX Interfaces. But then I watch this & you're using a Mac, so obviously it works lol. What DMX interface do you use with it & does it only work with Chauvet-branded lights?
@@BrandonElliotSmith I will say that showxpress is a little bit sketchy on Mac OS X, I’ve experienced a fair few crashes using it. I’ve been using the dmxis plugin in ableton for the past few years, and it hasn’t given me any issues. I can’t say anything about it in another daw though.
@@BrandonElliotSmith I can’t speak for all interfaces, but our Entecc Dmx-is interface works flawlessly with our Chauvet lighting. DMX is just values across different channels, so I can’t imagine there being any issues in terms of interface to light communication. I will say that in my experience, the showxpress software itself can be a little buggy and prone to crashing. Didn’t notice this as much years ago, but I opened it up recently on a newer Mac and it crashed out on me a couple of times.
