nobody ever played cs because of its graphics but because of the gameplay. valve wanted to switch engines so they had more devs who could work on the game and cs2 is still in a worse shape than csgo was for years. even on high end PCs the game doesnt feel as smooth and responsive as csgo. peekers advantage is still an issue even on LAN. subtick on 64 tick servers feels worse than regular 128tick servers bugs cheaters
One thing i will never forgive cs2 for is removing different t's for different maps, it just added a new layer of depth in my opinion, at least we have overpriced agent skins.
only 3 things that I want from CS2: 1. OG maps like Cache, Train, and Cobbelstone 2. Anti-cheat like Valorant 3. Chinese players are only allowed to play in China's server As a Southeast Asian, most of Chinese players I've met are either newbies or cheaters. I remember only twice in my whole lifetime meeting decent and good Chinese teammates.
Ngl on Australian servers it gets really annoying when now like 50% of players have Chinese names. I liked playing casual because Australian lobbies were always hilarious in voice chat but now half the players have Chinese names and no one speaks in chat. Also many are cheaters
Yeah but there is a factor to it. Its basically an update to a new engine not a new game like cs go was. It had cs go as a base for the game with all the updates throughout the years. And cs go had cs source which people hated..
Its an new engine and people have to learn how to use it, but they had csgo for 11 years already and perfected it, if they just copied it to the source 2 engine and polished it which probably would've taken a while we wouldn't be complaining about bugs
They can't really add any new content right now. People will just complain that they only care about money. Once they somewhat solve the cheater problem, then they can start pumping out content all the time.
Definitely not wrong on that one. Just something small here and there could probably do a lot though. Although I must say I've only encountered 1 or 2 *possible* cheaters (one pretty obvious but still) in about 20 recent games. That's honestly not that bad.
The game would imrpove by 200% if they get rid of the stupid sub-tick that is proven that it doesn't work for this game, i think they just should swallow their damn pride and give what most people want instead of making us cope with it while they keep winning millions of dollars.
CSGO was a good overall game and there was something for everyone. Just matchmaking is boring af. Dangerzone was so much fun. I share your dissapointment.
About the subtick... There are servers when its sharp, clean and quick response, and there are servers where it just doesnt work - hits are not registering, duels last hours because the processing is so fucking long, and you feel like youre watching a movie, play in the past or however one would call it - just a 2s delay. Even the worst csgo 64 tick servers werent that bad. And I have concrete examples: On faceit the servers are usually good, shots land properly, feedback is not as delayed but shitty servers happen + high ping and/or jitter makes the game not fun. On most valve servers closest to you, when majority of players have low ping, its nearly like playing on LAN. On xplay servers are powered by starved hamsters weeks on cocaine. So you get all the best CS2 subtick has to offer - shots not registering, randomness of spray, 2s delay, teleporting and other not fun stuff. My routing to xplay and faceit german servers is the same, so I know its the server+subtick issue.
Its the weapon that has the better skin, that actually applies to every weapon, I'm taking a Scout Fever Dream over an AWP Capillary. If there is an m4a4 Howl and its next to an M4A1-S Hyper Beast or whatever the most expensive A1S skin is I'm taking the Howl.
