In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and theatres across the world closing their curtains indefinitely, SiriusXM host Seth Rudetsky and his husband, producer James Wesley, have created Stars in the House, a daily live streamed series to support The Actors Fund.
With new shows airing daily at 2 PM ET & 8 PM ET, Stars in the House is a combination of music, community, and education (from CBS Chief Medical correspondent Dr. Jon LaPook) located on the Actors Fund RU-vid Channel. With musical performances by stars remotely from their home and conversations with Seth & James between each tune, viewers can also donate to the charity and interact with the guests in real time. Guests include Andrew Lloyd Webber, John Lithgow, Jason Alexander, Kristen Chenoweth as well as couples confined together like Audra McDonald & Will Swenson, Frozen composers Bobby Lopez & Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Tina Fey & Jeff Richmond, and many more. Stars in the House plans to steam daily until Broadway reopens.
this deserves a million views. this film taught me there are spaces out there for me i just have to look. sashas opening number and tiffanys closing were the some of the most impactful singing to be seen on film.
I often wonder what the understudy situation was with the original Annie orphans. Now, the regulations are so strict, but there are never any pictures of understudies. The story about when there were only 4/5 available during a storm implies there were still none during the running of the show. When did that change? Nowadays, it seems 3 or 4 of each character is required - 2 in the theatre at any one time. How did they manage it back then?
Le Mis would of never had its staying power without Frances. Shes the only Eponine you immediately fell in love with. Ive seen 40 Eponines none of them can repeat with Frances brought, I understand Leas talent but the charm was missing
I don't understand what is going on here.😮 Where and why do we allow these white men to gate keep our culture!! You all should be holding Miss Jennifer Holliday much higher , and be showing her the respect she deserves. Because without her standard of the performance much less the success of the show. None, absolutely none of these Effies would be here. They are all mediocre at best. I have standards and unfortunately I have learnt most people don't.😢😢😢😢
love love love this show!! i watch it on repeat. super bummed you all couldnt do a reunion to show what happened at the church i shipped caroline and richard SO HARD and when they kissed i believed it lol. . yall had the best chemistry i am still jealous to this day of caroline and annie's friendship and caroline's cool loft. thank you for this it was amazing
I love that Scott Lowell deaf applauded (hands palm-out, waving back and forth) when Robert Gant read about the donation from the couple whose wedding Hal Soarks officiated.
This was wonderful! 🥰 Caroline In The City was my favorite show back in the day! I was in my early 20s, I’m an artist, so it was incredibly relatable to me. I had such dreams of being able to live a life like Caroline’s, having a beautiful loft apartment, great friends, doing something I loved and making a living off it… It was such a wonderful and inspiring show for me ❤ I loved all the cast, but Lea and Malcolm were my favorites, probably because I could see both sides of my personality in their characters. I hated that the show was cancelled and we never got that closure we all needed so desperately. Please make that 100th episode so we can see what happens with Caroline and Richard! ❤
I often wonder what the lead cast, especially Jane Curtin thought of Frederick Koehler and the direction he took with his adult acting career. Frederick did say in an interview when he resurfaced as an adult actor that he is still very close with the cast of Kate Allie especially Jane Curtain. I’m sure they’re all proud of him for the direction his life, the fact that he went to college got a degree in theater and waited until he had matured before he got back into the acting business. However I’m sure there was some shock over the darkness of the roles that he had chosen. I’m sure Jane said wait a minute. That’s my son.
Had Ari not become a nurse, I’d say the smartest thing they could do with this whole concept was to reunite this entire cast for a reboot show to show where they are today, but instead of it being called Kate and Allie call it Emma and Jenny.
Have to add that yeah I also thought Jeff was just divine -he still is, sigh. ♥️ Yes, those eyes, that voice. You still have "it" Jeff♥️👍Hope I made your day too 😀
Loved this show. Loved the cast especially Jeff. So glad he's on General Hospital now. Great seeing everyone, especially him. This show should have lasted as long as MASH . It was an incredible show. ♥️
I did read somewhere that Kes was removed from voyager when Seven joined , If I had to choose someone to be removed it would be Harry Kim first then Tom then nelix. Harry is only a low ranking ensign who sees himself as a wannabe captain
I swear whoever brought up Hartley’s past tweets should go to hell like yea he fucked up but so does everyone every single person on this planet has made mistakes even but he didn’t deserve to be fired for tweets he made almost a decade before this
TNG season 3's Yesterday's Enterprise had a female captain character (captain Enterprise C) predates Janeway. Janeway is however the first female leading ST show character.
