4s of inhaling, 7s of holding, 8s of exhaling. This video was to demonstrate the steps, but feel free to do what is comfortable at first then gradually work towards the 4-7-8 counts. 😀
I thought it was supposed to be 4-7-8 seconds, this is way faster. And no pause between inbetween. Feels much quicker and more ''stressed'' than what I have been doing: counting seconds and not stressing between cycles. Doing it my way has given me great results too!
This video helps demonstrate the steps, but feel free to go at the pace you're already doing! It's always best to start at counts you're comfortable with and gradually work towards the 4-7-8 method ☺
@@Matchacom When you say gradually work towards, do you mean that it should ideally be at the pace demonstrated in the video? In the end? I do use a 4-7-8 pace but much slower, as I write above. I am of course open to shortening/quickening the pace going forward.
Didn't make a bit of difference in my BP. In fact, my BP was a bit higher than ususal. Still higher than my doctor wants it to be. Too good to be true? I'll try it again next week.
perhaps try a few more sessions and master the technique, then maybe then, you're able to see considerable difference! it takes practice to get used to breathwork ☺
