The thing with hard games is is makes it more fun in a way. Because you really have to work to have those successes. And thanks for making this! I used to love this game & have been thinking of playing again! I wish I rememebered all the strategies I relied on. I vaguely recall getting rockets and other random slick events--once gameboard was full & successful & other variables met.
Sadly there's only the unconventional way At least as far as I know. Unless you can find a place that sells the physical copies 😅 They used to sell it on Origin(EA Play) but they don't anymore sadly
Man... nostalgia hit me like a truck, I used to play this game a lot as a kid even though there existed SimCity. Actually, this game got me into architecture and urbanism and it is one of my favorites in Steam. Thanks for the video and please make more!
Damn, i didn't expect someone to make a video on City Life in 2024! That's my childhood game and also introduction to city building genre (cuz I didn't knew about SimCity and always got the 1$ bin games) I still have that City Life Deluxe DVD i got back then.
we can even change latitude sun rotation and time speed and it has a photo mode too ITS WAY BETTER THAN CITIES SKYLINES 2 1 IS BIT MORE OPTIMISED BUT LESS FEATURES THIS IS ACTUALLY VERY REALISTIC
I explained it in the video Foxy 😂 It's because I upscaled the resolution by changing a notepad file, and the game is not compatible for 1080p. It's an old version, not the re-release. 😅
I played this for a while and hit a soft lock where I had no more storage space, and there's no way I could to dump items out of storage (none of my building upgrades needed the things I had in there), so I was basically stuck.
Karen likes it gentle 😂😂 I've never played a Rollercoaster Tycoon game with any success, I was so intimidated by the concept of building my own coaster.
This game is special to me. Along with RCT1 and 2 this defined a great part of my childhood and teenage years. It was so awesome. There was a huge community that created custom scenery and rides. It is fubby to see you play it and charge absolutely nothing for the rides haha. I was the opposite, sqeeuze every cent out of the guests. That Coaster would have been at least 7 euros or something for me. But yeah its awesome and can still look good, especially at night with the lights and the water with the reflections. But yeah! You should check out Planet Coaster, especially since Planet Coaster 2 has been announced

But RCT3 for sure is childhood nostalgia! 😄 Can you actually charge that much for a ride? Even when the park is so small. Huh well the more you know, might do that in my personal game. It's like I can't stop playing this again 😂 I saw the Planet Coaster 2 announcement, so I might have to give the first one a go tbh!
@@victiusplays i believe it has something to do with the excitement level of the Coaster on how much you can charge. But if you charge too much, people wont go on it any more. The you know you went full on American capitalism 😅. Its amazing to see this came out in 2004, 3D and all. Frontier really made a great game
It would be interesting to see this on one of the maps with two entrances, just creating a spaghetti mess throughout the city then ending at the other entrance. It would honestly probably work quite well.
I think another reason that people didn't play the newer SimCity titles is because NAM (Network Addition Mod) for SimCity 4 fulfilled the last remaining needs of the community, so now the idea of curved roads and roads featuring tram tracks isn't appealing to them anymore, not appealing enough to buy the new game and show EA that the franchise could still be saved...
Never played SimCity 4 with mods so didn't know that one existed. But yeah I guess that would make people choose 4 over 5/2013. Still sad though would've liked to see the franchise live on 😅
@@victiusplays Same, I haven't tried any mods yet because I'm still trying to take my sweet time with vanilla gameplay, but I came across hourlong videos of people playing with NAM and even going on to compare SC4 with CS2, so that explains it. And yes, SimCity franchise could've ushered into a new age if EA dedicated a good team to it.
I would reckon the waiting time would be worse the longer you get. But true, the beginning wasn't that bad. I think it felt a little worse cause I just had to sit there and wait. Had i been on mobile I could have done other stuff while it finished 😅
the fact this game is the most played SimCity game ever, that it has an active and decidated community and even its own subreddit absolutely blows my mind. The series didn't just die with a whimper, it also somehow found its REAL cash cow after that...
It's wild how much of an impact Mobile gaming has on the industry. And don't get me wrong. I am always an advocate for people playing a game that they enjoy, I actually didn't know about the subreddit it's crazy active! I'm glad so many people enjoy the game, yet I'm still sad that SimCity kinda ended on PC 😅
I find that medium difficulty you’re able to hit iteration 4 but the harder the difficulty, it’s takes forever… the company might not have enough liquidity nor do it have enough fan support to fund the next project haha 😅
The only thing i dont like in sims 4, not Open Neighborhoods, it should have Open Neighborhoods from the start................... If sims 5 has not at least Open Neighborhoods, i will never play it or buy anything, no point
I would love to see more of Michael! I can't tell if you put out his career rewards, but I hope you did. I think that Summer would make the best baby mother option for Michael. She is younger than Katrina and Nancy. Nancy is already married, adult, and has 2 kids with Geoffrey - Malcolm and Johnny Zest. Johnny Zest was disowned in the lore. Then Katrina is also an adult, living with a man named Don Lothario. Their lore -says- they are dating, but they're not because of the time when that household was set up. Katrina has 2 young adult daughters, Dina and Nina, also living with her aside from that baby she just adopted. In the Sims 2, which is purportedly an alternate universe to The Sims 4, Michael Bachelor was married to Dina Caliente, but died young. His ashes can be found in her house. In that game, though, their mother isn't Katrina, it's a dead woman named Nighat. So yeah, based on all of that information, I think Summer is your best candidate even though she clearly annoys you lol

Sims 4 is a great sims game ecen without mods. People complaining about it tend to have no life out side of it and ar super weard. Ther callgameplay Shallow but Preis superficial Repräsentation Addition. Meanwhile the Emotion systhem is aculy very realistic and in my gane no sim falls the same. Each one i play lives very different lifes. . The secret is aculy using features i Steak of just optibg out . I swaer simmers find everything annoying say it doesbt work right when it does. Ther need to learn that they simply do t like the designe choice. And stop calling des with a 1 year der cicel kaumzy that gave These ANNOing Fans news of a new Bug fix team to work on issues and even ajust and add onto existing features from packs like adding waffles to the Restaurant menues. Ther ar Tones of things that could doo like tune so e atuff based on Feedback. Ther ar some broken thibgs but ther super small and likely have to do with additions to These phonecalls since City livings release. Personly i would like them to add a Simply Save file refresh wjr the save file gets sort of resetet without Looping your aktive housholes and Personaly liked sims and Lots placed hell mayby it just reset These litle Events to alow the game to properpy plan them in via the callander but hiden like add a random idk Overall im happy with the game but hope ther work out some Kink. Another Addition is about politisch. Sims with City livibg aculy get randomniced Politics. Eather left or right very simplyfied but you only get to find out what way Sims lean if your in thebpoliticle carrer or Debatte someone from ther. Its strenge but a Part of Mre wants them to make CityLiving a free for All expension pack . The pack has Lots of minis thibgs and for rent has kinda replaced its big Solling point iöwith buildable apartments and more.
The problem with early simcity games is that they're just way too hard. Without cheating you'd have to be very patient and literally wait hours to build more stuff.
