The anime cutscene at the end of the Prologue at the beginning of the game also became quite dramatic. But what I struggled with was the crying that you showed at the end of your video, at the Nya Nya Paradise event, at the Miracle Snow event, and even at the Overzone event. The story of this game is dramatic and sad, funny, action packed and dark all at the same time. Due to the well-written personalities of the characters, the emotions are also very palpable in the sad scenes.
The Nikkes looking good is just an extra for me. I like how generous the gacha is, the music, team building, and story. Some of the community are weirdos that fall in love with in-game characters, but what can ya do lol.
A shorter cut from fanservice (Maid Privaty is a perfectly exagerrated example indeed) to a serious parts of the story (first chapter even) would be enough.
Came for the jiggle. Stay for the story and music. Tear up at some back stories. Nikke is a deceptive game, you see the surface and don't expect the heartstrings. Soda and noir being such sweet natured girls in a terrible place is crazy. Anne is best daughter and deserves all the claw game plushies.
This game truly is filled with emotion, the creators, the characters, and the players. And a year and a half in, despite how crazy shit has gotten, we're still in the prologue, shit hasn't even truly gotten real yet. I'm looking forward to seeing the future of NIKKE.
Weird comparison, but roll with me; this game is like what Kung Pow Enter the Fist is to Parody movies. You go in expecting what you see at face value, and it gives you that to great effect; but when you focus a little bit on it you notice how deep and well crafted it really is. In Nikke's case, you expect to get jumped ass-first into coomerification. Which it does, Privaty, Crown, cat girls, and swimsuits 'till you can't get any more erect. But actually reading the story, you see a story that bows to Blade Runner and balances high grimdark with moments of levity and heart. Till the point where you realize all of the Nikkes (even the "fodder" classification numbers) are essentially Black Sheep from 86; girls' human minds forcibly implanted into battle suits and sent to die. What makes it even more dark is that they look beautiful not just to be exemplars in the fight against the mechanized menace, but slaves to more baser desires. And you, Shikan "Gigachad" Commander treating them like normal people, is the exception, not the norm.
Every single and I mean this. EVERY SINGLE banner event story will get you feeling emotional. Oh? You wanted a cute gyatti waifu game to goon over and chill? Too bad. You get soul crushingly sad suffering and gyatti waifus instead

yea i stayed for the story and a particular lady i wish to get cause emotions for me are hard to understand. That said the story is very good and very gritty! I like it!
I may have some gripes with the Nikke storyline (its boring ass commander SI for one) but even I can see there's SOME effort put into making the game decent.
I think the boss fight showcased on youtube what got me into nikke, it looks fun to fight. Reminds me of on rail shooter games i used to play on arcade center.
Bro the first time i defeated that god damn train was beyond euphoric Until i realized that was only the START of the Interception fights. I can now bead down god damn Gravedigger but from all ive heard, i wont know true pain until i reach Nihilister & Motherwhale God help me but god bless i have been enjoying this game more than i ever expected to
For slight placement context, JUST beat Chapter 16 so I have a ways to go but man I am not looking forward to that nonsense XD thank God I don't have to worry about the 160 Wall. Just got my 5th Limit Break in Yula of all things but whatever! Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it
Especially Goddess Squad Story. Well, their story is just an event story, but yeah, those Story are really good. Overzone, Red Ash, and even New Year New Sword. Love them all. As a bonus, The Last Kingdom, even though it happened in the present, is actually good too. Really like the relationship between Crown & Chime, and especially between Kilo & T.A.L.O.S.
When I tried this game I was like : I will try it for fun then uninstall after a few times then it has the one trick up its sleeves to make me stay which is the story and the music it's crazy that I'm more interested by nikke's background and personnality more than their looks
