Watching this 10 years on...sadly no more Motorfest, but as I type a 'festival' instead on a cool cloudy, rainy wet August Bank Holiday weekend. Bring back the Motorfest any day, much missed. 🚗🚙🏎
2011 is right around when I was last in Wigan. This (the “now” photos) is how I remember it. I’m scared to go back, from what I hear it’s unrecognizable now. 😢
The sword play looks really fun and exciting. Reminds me of my 4 Irish brothers having fun as kids. BUT WITH REALLY BAD SWEARING AT THE TOPS OF OUR LUNGS. The poor Rich nieghbors only shaking their heads.
ENGLAND! MY England, my Avalon. Your prodigal son thge USA, love and esteem you, your King, and the people. Just hearing the famous names of your navel ships, can bring tears to my eyes. Me a retired Merchant Marine sailor was raised as a young boy to love and appreaciate the Royal Navy, we thasnk you sir. I just discovered your channekl and will look into joining a re- enactment group. Thank you again for helping the FREE WORLD to defeat Russia. We need and love you, sir. Kevin from sunny Mexico,
Not many people begging, plenty of wiganers on show, nothing like now, Iran row, illegal cigs and vape shop catering to all the school kids of Wigan. Wallgate is disgusting even though all the CCTV allowed Wigan to be a slum. No pretty music can mask the reality
I got a tour by the owner David back in August and it’s fantastic! I’ll be following the restoration with great interest and making some videos along the way
What an asset the old Wigan market area would of been to the town if they had spent money doing it up instead of building the galleries which as itself been demolished it stinks to high heaven of backhanders
As a mining engineer I worked at a number of collieries that had steam winding engines. It's a pity folks can't see this driven under steam at HIGH speed as it was in the day.
Very nice Planet loco, guys!!! 👍❤️🚂🚃🚃👮I am also a train driver and ride a Stephenson's Rocket, but only in a simulation. I love British Railways ❤️ 🇬🇧🤝🇨🇿🇸🇰
That red Ferrari 250SWB replica looks quite authentic looking I think, had to look the reg up to check if it was a real one or not. The bloke who owns a real 250 I've seen at the Corner House meet should've parked his next to this to compare them, probably wouldn't be able to tell which was the real one or the replica unless you opened the bonnet. I have seen replicas of these that look nothing like the original, shape is often not quite right and too "kit car-ish", but this one here looks the business.
