For its age the book is in remarkable condition . These books are so interesting to puppeteers and the skills contained within the pages. If I had the book I would make a start on one of the projects.
This is not a paper mache work. Paper mache is made with glue and flour and is a dough. This technique can be called papier collé, when you only use paper and glue.
Hi There! I love this video! I'm making a very large Llama for our church VBS. I am using poster board to make my head etc, but your technique is wonderful and 3easy to follow!!!
You should make one out of a larger and floppier stuffed animal. I kidnapped my sister's super FLOPPY unicorn and made "Mr. Fluffy Cakes " into my puppet 😂
A real-time tutorial like this is a pleasure, because you are so professional at "rubberbanding" and knotting😂Thanks for this wonderful tutorial! I will reproduce this sweetie with my primary school theatre group!
I am a new puppeteer (at 55!) and builder. I love watching these videos because I always pick up something new, like the dip for head turns. Thank you! With humming, I like to open the mouth a tiny bit and lift the puppet slightly to kind of represent a breath before the hum sound. I just found your channel and I'm heading straight to Part 2 now!
I just read an article about marionette strings, and it really took me by surprise watching your video and hearing you say word for word what was in the article, in the same order. I think whoever built the website just used an app to turn the audio from your video into their article. Thank you for being the originator of the information.
