@@PitstainHobbies Considering the nature of the floor pan, carpeting should be exceptionally easy in this scale. Doll house carpeting dyed black, or my personal choice, black suede. The proper suede, soaked in water and laid over the floor pan to dry should get you the proper shape, but you may have to do it several times to get it fully snuggled down. Once happy with the shape, trim and install.
Is i5 just me or d9es the tailplane look wonky? For the price you'd expect better build quality. I have the original Halcyon model kit and built end result will be far better, and those can b3 picked up for $100.
Nice! I'm having a great deal of trouble fitting together the metal fuselage halves - I am getting some great imagery from you (plus enjoying your banter) for me to fix this problem!
I had this one with the different box but had to sell it years ago for money- but I just ordered one a few days ago to replace it! Love this version and the Hot Wheels 1/18 model!
@@PitstainHobbies This chassis was designed by Hess and Eisenhardt of Cincinatti Ohio. It is the longest chassis ever put under a two-door car. Six were originally made and intended for use solely by Lincoln. Ultimately, one other made it under the 1955 Lincoln MK2, hardtop retractable. A version of the design was used in production MK2's. This chassis is known as the 'cow belly'. The engine that came in the Futura was a slightly modified truck engine. (Yes, Lincoln made trucks at that time). This recreation is faithful to the original. I wish I could have just paid for the thing up front and got it all at once though. Can't wait for my next round of parts. Keep the helpful videos coming. I use oil on all my screws now for fear of stripping or breaking one off. I use 3-in-1.
It come’s with free Amsr 😂😂. Now I can’t wait to see what comes next month. Also I’m watching the world of Wayne in the UK , he is building the tumbler version. I really hope it would make its way over here I would want to build that one too
with your test on the fan cap nozzle i noticed a small void in the middle of the paint swath, with the 290 and fan cap nozzle that means too much air psi,i had to turn down my compressor to about 20-22 psi,i love the 290,just bought my second one the other day!
I got the box for the instructions in my shipment, and I’m two stages behind you. I think I was more taken aback by the implication that we’re looking at SIX BOXES of these booklets! 😱
@@PitstainHobbies Money is money. No matter if it's all at once or spread out over 1 to 2 years. I hope your not suggesting that if you don't buy this you're not a "big" fan. I really don't mean to be negative, I do love the model, it's just so much money for what it is. If you could buy this as a kit or completed model all at once I would expect it to be around 1/4 to 1/3 of this price.
Every damn time! The front landing gear has three positions - THREE! Stowed, landed normal-weight, and landed after dropping the APC off! Always the APC weight landing position is missed! Apart from that, it looks damn good!
Yeah for this much money I would have liked at lease a gear up and down option for when you put it on the stand, honestly once I get a large resin printer I may just make my own drop ship and sell this to a collector.
I guess I like dumb modeling channels because this is great. Really like your humor/commentary and approach to this old kit. I snagged the Tiger 1 back at the dawn of the interweb, glad I did. Details might be soft, but they really nailed the overall shape and look of the beast.
I kind of wish I ordered it when I had a chance. But now with the Bond cars, and I’m thinking very hard about the Millennium Falcon, I couldn’t swing it.
