If slaves were sold in Salaga, then the Dogombas and the Gonjas were heavily involved as well. Because the Mossi and Hausa cannot overcome them and sell in that region. In summary, many tribes were involved and finalised by the Fantes.

Why blame Asantes alone when there is no slave trail in Ashainti region? The people could have also being Fante's, Assins, Bonos, etc. Asantes made slaves through wars.

I arrived in Ghana in 1958 - the year this wonderful park was established! I was a teenager and I loved the few years I spent in Ghana where my father was attached to the Ghana Army. Alas, I had no notion of all the wonderful wildlife in the North of Ghana though I went on to live in other African countries and visited many game parks as a wildlife artist. Ghana remains by far my favourite country and I really enjoyed this delightful video - so informative and so beautifully done, I felt I was right there. I am an old lady now but still live in the hope that I will see my beloved Ghana again before I die! Famous Kwesi Atitsogbe, thank you so much for this brilliant movie.

Point of correction. The mosque was built by Sudanese traders. The first founder name is Ayuba. The location of laribanga area used to be a sub saharan trade route to mali and white volta now known as Burkina faso. The traders used to stop there and pray and sleep in the night and continue thier journey the next day. The mystic stone was not discovered until when a road construction began to link laribanga to salga. According to the road contractor, they dig out all the rocks around the area and the next day the stone came back at the same place it was removed so the contractor diverted the road and left the stone at where it is located now. It was abandoned in some years ago until former president Rawlings decided to reconstruct mole national park for tourism and added the mystic stone site to make it more attractive. There is no special thing about the stone. It just a story from a contractor discovery. The mosque was also build by traders who passes through the area. It wasn't built in one week. It was build step by step each time traders passing by at that time. There is also a Quran in the mosque which is also the oldest Quran in west African. The Quran was left in the mosque by a trader. One unique thing about the mosque is the architected design and the oldest in west African. Inside is very small and not enough space to contain many people. The Quran is always with the chief overseer of the mosque home. You will not see it in the mosque until you visit him in his home after prayers.

Riding elephants through the forest in Africa has to be a once in a lifetime experience, imagine how it must’ve felt to our ancestors who did it daily before Europeans arrived, where do they think the Indians learnt it... It seems obvious to see how Africans were so ahead of everyone in ancient times.

Thank God that the truth continue to be told of how the Asantes in collaboration with the whites captured and sold their own fellow men because they had the guns at that time. They have no shame and still continue to deny it.
