All of you people watching this please pray for a friend of mine her words exactly “I don't know if non-believer is the right word, I'm not affiliated with any particular religion, I'm probably agnostic right now, I do find value in the psychospiritual, maybe to say I'm questioning is more accurate.”
Wow. Was searching for another episode and just stumbled on this one instead. Literally on THE BEST episodes. The reading, the PRAYER (writing it down for one of my regular morning prayers), the commentary and exhortation. Thank you.
Father, may everything that I do this day, whether it be full of joy or pain, whether it be full of love or of grief, I ask that everything I go through today be offered to you just like Jesus offered everything to you. It is in his name we pray. Amen. 10/5/2024
Thank you Fr. Mike for praying for me everyday. I definitely need it as I’m going through a bit of a difficult phase with my family. I pray for you and all my brothers n sisters who listen to this podcast everyday. God bless and thank you once more!
Our Lord is the Best. He wants the best for us. He knows what's best for us. He does the best for us. His ways are so much better than ours. Blessed be God forever. Amen 🙏
Note that the story of the Temple highlights the legitimacy of doctrinal development. The people worshiped the Lord in a particular way for hundreds of years but then when the temple was built they were supposed to change the way they worshiped. I imagine there were many who disagreed with the change and doubted the authority to do so. However, the doubters were wrong. Just because something is traditional does not mean that it cannot be changed by a competent authority. Some things cannot be changed, but other things can. Vatican 2 was a legitimate change that was slandered and exploited by communists in order to push their agenda. But the real changes Vatican 2 made (not the "changes" that many people think it made (which it did not) that are the product of communist lies) are legitimate.
The red mist descended, the sleepless nights ensued, I miss this page , whilst I defend my words I realize that they wound, so will probably back off for a bit, it is out of character for me to be contentious (there is a proverb talking about that, ha!) but the words jumped off the page for me that day, and I seized upon them. Sorry Fr Mike if I have offended you (it's the doctrine I am at odds with) I find your videos upbeat, funny, and see you as a man absolutely doing his best to fulfil his calling. So in the words of Frazier Crane I'm (still ) listening
I get frustrated because we don't talk about Job very much. I also don't understand why all of those different names and tribes and stuff are in Genesis and how there's so much kind of incestuous relationship? They kind of seem to marry their cousins or the sisters of some Uncle or so forth. I don't understand this. I know that, the Bible says that God hates divorce and that if you remarry that you're committing adultery. I was married for 20 years and got divorced and now I am in a wonderful second marriage that I pray every day that God will bless. My ex-husband got remarried before me so I don't have to tell you that story. However, does that mean he committed adultery first and so then I'm not really committing adultery?
At one point, I got to day 87 and then days and days and days and days passed me by, and I now feel as if I forgot everything and did not pay sufficient attention, so I am starting all over again. The first time I tried it, I listened to it while doing other things and that did not work very well for my retention. I'm going to sit down with my Bible this time and read it while he does. Maybe that will help.

13:23 Father in heaven, we thank you and give you praise. We, oh we know, that you invite us to, now you command us. You tell us to seek wisdom and to avoid foolishness, and so not only in the book of Proverbs do we have this. That sense of, like okay Lord, you remind us that you have so many voices calling to us, so many voices saying, Over here, over here, over here, come over here, give us your attention, give us your heart, give us your mind, give us your life. Because everything that takes our attention is taking our life. Everything that we give a minute of our attention to we’ve given a minute of our lives to, a minute of our heart to. And so God, help us to be wise. Help us to not turn to every foolish voice, every foolish opportunity, but only help us only listen to those wise voices in our lives. Help us to only turn to the people that we know are wise, especially your Word. Lord God, we thank you for your Word because it’s your Word that gives life, it is your spirit that gives life. And so we give these minutes, we give this day, we give our heart to your Word, to your life, to your spirit, and to your wisdom. Help us to always walk in your Spirit and always walk in your wisdom. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. †
