Subject Janos Skorzeny born in Cruesti Romania 1899. Now just a minute. Are you trying to tell me this guy is over 70 years old? Come on Bernie you guys got the wrong man. Like hell we have.
He went on to marry and have two boys. One year he won a major prize and displayed it proudly in the front window of his home. He would spend the rest of his days not fighting vampires but the much more daunting home furnace.
I just love watching these old episodes of "Kolchack The Night Stalker" tv series from the early 1970s, they are funny, well-written and the performances from Darren Mc Gavin and Robert Loggia are amazing.
NEVER REALLY KNEW THAT MY FAVORITE AUTHOR TO DATE IS RICHARD MATHESON..! WROTE MOST, IF NOT ALL OF THE NIGHT STALKER... TELEVISION SERIES... AWESOME! MY FAVORITE 4 EVER,,,,,,,,!!!!!!
Something I always loved about the scene where they dispatch the vampire is just how unpleasant, pitiful and long it takes. It's fighting back as best it can in its weakened state, makes noises of fear. It's as if it's a half squashed roach trying to crawl under the cabinets. I also love how animalistic it is. Feels like a callback to Nosferatu.
I've got the old 1974 Night Stalker TV series on DVD ... the first episode has him filling a zombies mouth with salt and sewing it closed .... and the damned zombie wakes up and goes berserk. Scared the absolute crap out of me when I was a little, and is still really well done and scary today.
Choked a dog, threw nurses aids all over the place, including one out of a third floor window, tossed cops to the side and took bullets like they were peanuts being thrown at him. But a nice little sunshine? Falls apart from the first second it hits him. That's for laughs. Barry was an excellent vampire. This version is still creepy to this day.
This is one of the stronger episodes of Kolchak. I love that Kolchak has a plan but that his fear gets the better of him...until he's forced to deal with things since he has no escape. Same tunnel set they used in a previous episode Primal Scream...this time they just added the water.
Oli was the best character in this movie. Kind of wish Josh or Paxton had been whacked first, honestly. I love how he’s this middle aged 30 something back packing across Europe to drink and do illicit drug use with a couple of hedonistic post-college yuppie burnouts in his own attempt to run from seeming responsibility in his own life. Which, by his own accord, he alludes to with his former marriage and young child. With that said, his charm and demeanor are what win people over. Singing in Russian to Natalya-that’s probably something she didn’t expect by her scripted reaction. It’s great. A really good raconteur does things like that. I’ve met tons of people like Oli-some of whom would learn a simple passage like what he sings either because they genuinely enjoy it, or just to impress people and start a dialogue.
@naysgrace well the whisky and sauce could be for his 'lady friends' like from some sort of sex game or something? Or the more innocent theory could be just for decoration like he uses them as paper weights or something like that?
