Hey man. Just watched your video. Just wanted to let you know that the stock clutch on your bike was installed improperly. The last plate needs to be in the other groove on the basket. I can’t speak on the takagawa clutch plates but I assume it is the exact same placement.
I noticed that when I took it apart the first time, but I learned it actually doesn’t matter what groove the clutch plate is in, since it’s still making the same contact with the steel plate and pressure plate on either side.
It was well under $1k, the only expensive things were the pipe and clutch. I built my own wheels, got the stock rims cerakoted, printed my own graphics, and used a bunch of parts I already had laying around
what jets did you use to get it to run smoothly i have the same carb as you but for bbrs 170 kit and it boggs if you crack the throttle too fast. i have the airbox cut and the big airboot for it im just wondering on how to tune it right becuase i cannot figure it out. ahh my bike looks so similar to yours i got all the upgrades done to it as well. yours looks sick dude!
I honestly forget the jetting, but it sounds like you might need a richer needle, richer pilot, or maybe just play with the air screw. And if richening makes it worse, then just go leaner, cause it could also bog if it’s too rich. These bikes suck to jet because the carb is in such a horrible spot. But you should post some videos of yours, I’d love to see it!
@@tuckerbeddiges dude totally right about where that carb is. it was a struggle to fit it in there correctly without the cable being bent like crazy. also thank you so much about the tuning tips ill have to try mess with it some more. if i get it running right ill totally put a video out on it.
do these videos apply to the klx140g as well i’m trying to build a supermoto out of mine because getting a street bike is too much and i’ve been doing a lot of research but my main thing i want to know is what fork swaps work and what street wheels to get.
Tb race head for Honda mini motors. And believe it or not, the ports aren’t much bigger at all than stock, I mainly just matched the intake, blended the seat into the bowl, and shaved down the valve guide
Not sure what year but all kx85/100 forks are the same, the 85/100 triple clamps go right on, you just need a washer under the compression nut since the kx stem is a bit longer
@@fIoCs- they will work, the 85/100 and 140 use the same hubs, so it’s a direct boot on. Your 140 rotors and sprocket will also go right onto the new wheels
@@tuckerbeddigesDo the regulations allow replacing the CDI? from the sound of the motorbike it seems like it still uses a standard CDI, I suggest using a BRT imax 24 step CDI, BRT type R cam shaft, and lighten the flywheel
