i think it came out quite nicely only for me personaly i would have liked a claw holding the pommel similar to the other one that would have given them a sort of twin-set look. either way good work.
i've spent a few years trying to learn this very kind of language. you seem to have some wealth of knowledge. My advice to you is to rehearse.your presentation. so we can learn more and be comfortable while we listen
Also, if you arrange a set of dragon eggs that are green/cyan, yellow/gold, purple, red, light blue, black, pink, gray, brown/burnt orange, deep blue, and white in that order, you'll draw Swifties to you. 😂
I'm fairly certain that's the design intent. The top was originally a transparent faux magazine with double rows of fake cartridges that moved back and forth, and the barrel reciprocated.
Personally I think the more interesting part is the combination of the bellied blade and the super long, needle-like point meant for penetrating chainmaile and thick textile armor.
This looks awesome, I thought it was real for a good bit of the video! One thing I’ll say is that Odachi and Nodachi are interchangeable terms, so you don’t gotta worry about getting them mixed up!
This is criminally underrated, saw one of your comments and immediately rushed here. You just earned a sub from me!!! Best of luck, and that is amazing!
Sadly no. These are purely costume items, meant to more accurately imitate the dimensions and appearence of a real sword. In theory you *could* make them more durable using hardwood instead of the poplar, basswood, and other soft woods I use, but they would still be weaker than a normal bokken or western-style waster made of oak or another hardwood. My friends and I used to play-fight with earlier versions when we were kids, and they'd hold up for a bit before breaking but got seriously messed up.
