Helpful Tips and Tricks to help "GET ORGANIZED and STAY ORGANIZED"
Inventor, Eugenio Segovia Jr. has been developing innovative products for a wide area of industries and currently has 14 U.S. patents. He came up with the home organization product EZStudRack after years of frustration dealing with traditional “fixed” shelves that wasted a lot of space.
EZStudRack helps you install shelving without wasting space. An innovative DIY home organization product that is EZ to install. Most installs take less than 30 minutes. Get Organized. Stay Organized.
Thanks for the comment. Using a stencil and paint took a long time. I have had several comments of them just using a paint marker for the numbers. I definitely would have some kind of mark to identify where that particular item goes. Especially if you use several items at a time or someone else is using them. 👍🏽
Straight edge and a pencil would help for making lines to follow. If its an old house that was built beef before building codes were established, then I bekieve it woud be best to do initial cutting about an inch before the stud edges - just in case wiring is ran wonky. Experience speaking lol 😆
Here is a link of the size I recommend 1.5" long. This is a large pack, you might find smaller packs at your local hardware store or search Amazon. Make sure it has the little rubber washer. Or you can use without washer type but would definitely silicone it to prevent any moisture from getting in. amzn.to/3Sc2zAd
This is one of the best organizational videos ive ever seen. I love it. Can you come to N.C and organize my whole shecave/woodshop/garage/toolshed/hotmess. Lol
Yes you can paint, it’s available in gray and white. Here is paint video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gkhbfWxVmV4.htmlsi=Hw3NuDecigyguCM_
Yes Lowe’s has a hand saw and you can cut but it is a custom build to you pads. I would get a saw kit and cut yourself. See link to Amazon amzn.to/47uj3bj
Thank you for leaving in your mistakes and keeping it real! I like your sense of humor too! I just found you but I’d love to see something that is a cheap solution for paper/cardstock storage. I REALLY like the fact that your product is American made! 🇺🇸
"Five minutes", my ass. More like a 2-day project, even if you have all the carpentry tools. Plus, this guy will never demonstrate how to use his product sparingly to achieve the same result. All his demoes are for projected aimed at requiring you to spend the most money possible for racks that he sells.
Thanks for your comment. The five minutes is to install each 8 pack of brackets. You can cut the EZStudRacks and "sparingly" use them as you wish. See link of a video I created to show how you can cut them. If your items change, it will be difficult to adjust the "sparingly" used EZStudRacks but if your items don't change then it will work fine. Here is the video where you can easily cut them. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J-uzHKOPp1c.htmlsi=TPjbX060l5eYlyME
What I dislike about these EZStudRack promotionals is that they are limited to demonstrating projects that require you to maximize your purchase. They never demonstrate how to create the same end result more economically such as by spacing the racks apart or cutting rack pieces in half. It is all aimed at inducing a person to spend the most money.
Thanks for your comment but i will have to disagree. Here is a video where I show you how to cut these for storing long items and maximize your purchase. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J-uzHKOPp1c.htmlsi=EG1MiiHTj2fL4E44
Ain't no way i would drill through exterior. Pretty much defeated the ideal of weather tight. If you are looking for ideas, buy a cheap 110 welder welder.
Thanks for the suggestion. Weather tight is still maintained with the gasket screw. You can also cover the screw head with silicone. Like all the door hardware.
This was the most painful video i think i have watched in a while. Prep and problem solving off camera would have made this feel like not wanting to pull your hair out as he is pondering each decision 🤔😐
Thanks Kristy for you comment. Did you get a chance to look at some of the newer videos. This one was an oldie. Hopefully those aren't as painful. Thanks again for your comment. I am trying to improve.
I think the way you treated the romex is illegal. It looks exposed. I would not do that. I would have left the sheet rock in tact 4in above and below the wire. I would then added 2x4’s above and below the wire. Keeping the wiring blocked off and protected.
EUGENIO!! I musta missed sumpthin! W H A T did you use to cut the foam, please?? I’ve N E V E R been able to get a smooth edge on styrofoam using even a BRAND NEW BOX CUTTER BLADE!!
I just used a utility knife. I didn’t show it but at around 11:00 minutes you can see it. It’s a Milwaukee brand, but any one will do. I’m sure there are better ones, this is all I had.
@@EZStudRack Thx for your input! Guess I’ll have to search further for a quality blade, because, as I said, I’ve n e v e r been able to cut foam cleaning.
I enjoy watching your videos, love your humor but best of all I love how easy you appear to make easier for those of us who challenged with measurements. Thank You!
Howdy! I get this all the time. I forgot to add it. Here is a clip of what I used & an Amazon link ru-vid.comUgkxTS64KTlEVEyZOlP3LJUjHgPxeJAEjItD amzn.to/446m3cl
I have wanted this for years! I was told it was impossible by some and ridiculous by others. One contractor said it was possible but difficult and would cost $3000.00 minimum per cabinet. I laughed until I realized he was serious. I hung up. Do you have anyone who works in central Texas?
Oh my gosh! I had to laugh as soon as you revealed that piping behind the wall. My hubby was such a sweetheart and decided to inset a medicine cabinet into the wall for his wifey and had the same exact experience! Love the sound effect, it is perfect!
Eugene just ordered the ez rack storage. Question I have electrical wiring that run down to plugs between some studs, can the wiring be moved or cut around? What do you suggest? Thanks you’re videos are great….
Howdy, that is a tough question to answer. Is it in a garage with expose studs? You should consult with a local electrician to make sure you’re not violating any codes. If it is in my house, and I plan on living in it for a long time, I would remove staple on the wire, and push it to the back corner of the stud, and install the racks. Then on each shelf, I would have to notch out the corner to allow room for the wire. but you should consult with an electrician to make sure you are not causing any problems. The wires are centered on the stud so if you put a screw in the wall hang a picture or anything else you do not damage the wire. Disclaimer: “ I am not an electrician, so I cannot give you advice.” Hope this helps.
the problem is now you cant store anyting big in front ot it, its wasted space, thats why people use plastic barrels cause it takes less floor space. theres gotta be another solution.
You’re right. I have a generator, table and toolbox in front of them. I leave a 2 inch gap to allow me to reach around and access equipment. It still works but having to reach over stuff is a small hassle.
So happy to have found this! I just don't want to spend $90 for an already built one. My son's got the wood, I'll show this to him & see if he can find the time to build them. I'll measure when I get up, but am pretty sure the new stampin up ink pads will fit, also hoping Catherine pooler pads will fit. Are the cleats 4 inches deep?
I don’t know what is a “cleat” but it is 3-1/2” deep. Did you see the other videos on my channel? Lots of craft storage. Here is a ink pad made out of foam board. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q8cRcrMrsIs.html
Yes! I think Home Depot sells 1x5 (3/4x4-1/4). Here is a video with some tips. Thanks for your question! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AvKNtMo0h74.html
@@EZStudRack Thank you. I was a bit confused because you always mention shelf sizes of 1X5 1X4 1X6 etc. but you never mention the widths. I believe my studs are spaced 16 inches on center which probably means I need shelves around 14 inches wide.
Widths very. 16 inch centers are normal, but they are all different. I always measure and test the entire height. Here is a short clip: ru-vid.comUgkxA3OLDFciOQwxNu5sWLZg-LptaakEyb13
@@EZStudRack Thanks for all the info. I paid almost $500 for a CD cabinet that I filled immediately and still need at least 2 more. Because I have exposed studs in my garage I thought that I could somehow install shelves but then I found your product which makes it much easier. I can buy a 12 foot 1X6 board at Lowe's and they'll cut it free. I've watched many of your videos on the installation process and how the spacing between the studs can vary. One of mine is 14.75 inches. If I'm correct you stated that you need to allow a 1/8 inch on each side for the rack so if I assume if I have the wood cut to 14.5 inches I should be good. I'm 70 years old with arthritis so I'm probably not going to be able to use a screwdriver for the self threading screws. I have a drill but it's corded and big so I'll probably have to pick up a cheap impact driver. Thanks for all your help and I'll post photos on your FB page when completed.
