When I'm sad I always came to hear Yume no Tsubasa. Kaori-san has a cheerful and powerful voice. She make me feel happy. Kaori-san really enjoys when sing this song hahaha
apparently the lyrics used Kajiurago, a made-up language that is prominently featured in the vocal music composed by Yuki Kajiura. According to Kajiura, the idea behind using this as opposed to a standard language is that it allows the listener to create their own interpretation of the music befitting the scene(s) in which it plays. I really love it!
I still come back to this live performance and hope this video never gets taken down. This song is just pure beauty and power that captivates me today as much as when I first heard this. Like facing the final boss and giving it your all where the stakes couldn't be any higher. Just magnificant.
56:56 and 57:20 : I love the way the public rase their hands in rythm with the four singers' voices !✨🎵✨🎶✨ 1:33:13, that guitarist is too funny !🤣 And to see Yuki, Wakana, Keiko, Yuriko et Kaori and their musicians having fun and almost become crazy on set is heart-warming 😊❤ And Yuki's kindness towards her troup - she presents everyone to the public and all the team salute at the end - makes me happy !
How is it, the songs from the anime were *this* good that they literally had multiple sold out concerts for it, yet, you never hear about *anyone* talk about Tsubasa anymore? It's still, by far, my favorite anime, if not solely for the absolutely amazing OST.

@@Xhanatos Oh from your comment I just realized that it was more or less the exact same list of songs that were sung in the Reprise as was sung in this live!!!! I never noticed that before now. Now I need to watch them back to back to have a fuller experience and deeper analysis. To answer your question from memory, I prefer the Studio Reprise for its refinement and more stable and nature (Edit: mature) vocals. I’m also more a fan of Joelle so her lead on some of those songs “Open your heart”, and so on (especially the English language ones) was a breath of fresh air. That said, the original live was full of the energy of youth, and has Eri Itou present as guest vocals so that added additional color. There’s also the energy of the live audience and FBM on stage. And importantly, Kaori’s singing of “Broken Wings” is what made me first priority notice her and realize that she’s a great singer and can be delicately expressive rather than just belting all the time (before I discovered her early SH work). The YKL2 performance brought her to my attention. Overall though, I stick to my answer - Studio Reprise is it for me!
