Hi, my name is Charlotte. I live in the Cairngorm National Park in Scotland. My videos are mostly about adventures on my ebike in the hills and mountains around where I live and further afield. The videos are aimed at anyone who is interested to see the area whether they are in to biking or just want to see some nice views. Thanks for stopping by :).
Hi Charlotte. I was searching for vids on biking up this Munro later in the year and this video came up. Enjoyed it and I'll give you a follow. I see big Stooozers in here so we're in good company 😂. Martin.
Hi Calum. Very glad you enjoyed the video. This one is a bit of a slog but on a nice day it was well worth it. Let me know your thoughts on it when you do it. Thanks for watching.
No I haven’t done all of it. Like you say the parts I’m on are not too bad. There are parts I wouldn’t want to take a bike - the single track going up from the Loch Muick side would be hike a bike.
Nice one Charlotte. I have a book containing this adventure. It is on my list to do with my wife so thank you very much for posting this. Another great video. Cheers. Stoozer. 👍🏻
Very nice video of what is a lovely part of the Cairngorms. I did Cairn Of Claise and Carn An Tuirc on a lovely hot sunny day last year. The single track path up to Carn an Tuirc is all rideable Charlotte. You would enjoy it. Except for a final short boulder section to the summit for only a couple of hundred yards. Ta for the info re the access to Loch Kander. I will put that on my to do list. Cheers. Stoozer.
Hi. I went on my ebike - it’s full suspension but a hard tail would do the job as well - would just be a bit bumpy in places. You might have seen in the video some is tarmac some is quite rocky, but all rideable.
Thanks for this! Brought back memories of us biking there 2022, another great hop and loop is Lismore taking ferry either end and using the mainland Sustrans route to connect, think one battery would suffice or top up at Creagan Inn 😁
Hi John. Thanks for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the tip on Lismore. I had wondered if it was worth doing so thanks for mentioning it. I will try and give that a go this year sometime. Thanks.
Nice drone footage. Just subscribed. Don't go on a bike very often but going down hill is one of the few times as an adult you can be transported back to your childhood. Best wishes to you and your channel.
Loved this! Love the drone footage and seeing the season change. I'm not a technical mountain biker so I always enjoy land rover tracks and the maps at the end are a really useful resource. Can't wait for more!
Hi Paula, thanks. I think landrover tracks are underrated. Best way to get to some great views. Thats great the maps are useful and will put them in from now on. Thanks for the feedback 😁.
Brilliant Charlotte 😍👍..Hiked this last month including Ben Avon..Really want to do more Ebiking up in the Cairngorms..Excellent video 😁..So many brilliant routes up there 😁Enjoyed that Charlotte. Cheers Robert
Hi Robert. Thanks - I’m so glad you enjoyed and you’re right we have so many brilliant routes around here - and ebiking is the ideal way to get around 😁😁. Will be watching some of your videos. Your channel looks great.
Really enjoyed this video. I'm finding all of your videos very interesting and informative and I'm going to try a couple of these routes in the very near future. I love your straightforward delivery style!
Hi Paula, I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying the videos. Thank you for the nice feedback as well 😊. Hope you enjoy the rides - would be nice to know how you find them 😁.
Hiya, I have just done my first Munro on my e bike, it was Ben Chonzie, it wasn't too hard, fairly steep road in places but easy enough, not great descent because the road is really rocky, didn't feel like I could ease off the brakes too much, I am thinking I may do this one tomorrow, did you go up the landrover track at glenfeshie and then come down the narrower path to the bottom ? I am wondering about battery consumption, I have a 750wh battery on my Giant Trance, I prefer loops usually instead of just going up and down, I don't have a subscription for Strava, but I do have subscription for Trailforks and Komoot, Strava won't let me access the gpx file without a subscription, I am enjoying your videos, I will probably do several of the ones you have posted videos, to get more experienced with Munros and also to build my fitness. Cheers
Hi Richard - Ben Chonzie sounds good. Will give add it to my list. I did this one from Linn of Quoich in Braemar. There is landrover then single track. Fairly easy to see the route in the map. At the top I had 50% battery left of a 700Wh battery - that was going in turbo all the way up. Then only used something like 15 %battery on the way down.
Hi, I am enjoying your videos, I just returned to mountain biking after 10 years, due to having several operations on my back, the e bike has given me another chance to do epic routes, it's great there are Munros where getting to the top is not super difficult, I hope to do a few of the ones you have done.
Hi Richard. Nice to know you’re enjoying the videos and great that you’re back in to biking. Ebikes really are something else aren’t they. Mine has changed my life for sure. Would be interested to know how you liked the bike rides. 😁
I plan to take in your return section as part of a modified version of the Firetrail loop from Komoot. Fantastic video, and very beneficial for me and my trip too :)
@@charlottecunninghammtb I was up in the Cairngorms earlier this year with my motorhome and emtb. The two days I was there it rained and had clagg. 🙄 I gave up and went back over to the west coast and did some rides over there. 👍 I have 5 weeks off in September and October so I’ll be heading back up for at least a month. Good to see some routes. Cheers. Antony.
@@charlottecunninghammtb Thanks haha. Not got much up there yet because I need a new bike lol. Thanks for subbing, I’ll definitely return the favour ✌️
Another great video Charlotte. A rough descent at the start with a wonderful view on the way down. I have put this on my 'To Do' list. I have subscribed. Cheers. Big Stoozer. 👍🏻🤠
Hi yes I’ve walked up it several times when I had my dog Murphy the boxer. But I don’t think it was up the side you did. I went up from Dufftown side think few videos showing that route. I have an emtb too be good to give it a go on that.
Hi Scott, the walkers track is quite nice isn’t it. It’s the one I tried to cycle down before but with not much success 🤣. The other route is definitely worth a go especially if you have an embt 😁.
@@charlottecunninghammtb yes I have a full suspension emtb. Ahh ok so you were not on the route I’ve done then. I’ll have to get up there and give it a go but itching to try tarland trails two first you done it?
Hi, have you been to Ben Rinnes or are you planning to do it? It would be great to hear about your experiences cycling there. If you enjoyed the video please could you consider liking it and subscribing to my channel. Thanks. Charlotte :)
Good video. Love this area for exploring. I had a pedal about on Hard Hill (not recommended). Glen Mark on the other side has some pretty cool water falls at the top of the glen 👍🏻
Hi Stoozer. Thanks for watching! I like your videos a lot. I’ve followed you in strava so you can take a look at the route on there :). 😁😁. Yes I went up and back the same way 😁.
