I miss when mk had decent music 11 is so bad- mediocre orchestra crap. Mk 9 was awesome mkx had some good ones I forget injustice 1 but either there or ij2 they started this orchestra crap and all the themes never got you hype anymore. The fatality themes in this game are cool I like this one the best.
Hearing on a loop after so long makes you wish for the spikes to come. Not because it's bad or repetitive or anything critical but because it just gives you a never-ending feeling of doom that you just wish would end.
No. The Spike Well is in Edenias' throne room, in which Kitana's ending in Mortal Kombat Gold revealed. Which they use only for Capital Punishment. Remember what the games' intro said about Edenia being taken over again?
Say what you want about how the 3D fighting in MK4 has not aged well, but you cannot deny it has not only the greatest Game Over sequence of the entire series, but quite possibly ALL of video gaming.
It really hasn't aged poorly at all. The polygonal graphics and endings haven't aged all that well, but the gameplay is still fast-paced, responsive and hard-hitting with the 3D movement being simplified to side steps so the main kombat in the 2D space can flow swiftly and smoothly.

This is the best game over theme for Mortal Kombat. It screams...YOU BETTER SAVE YOUR KHARACTER BEFORE THEY DIE FALLING INTO A VERY LONG PIT WITH SPIKES AT THE BOTTOM, and there's only one way to do it...give us more koins!
This is honestly the best MK theme I've heard! The repetition every 16 beats, the looped drums, the marching drums, that weird instrument sound, it all fits together so perfectly 🔥🔱
