At World Expeditions, we believe in offering high quality adventure travel holidays to the world's most intriguing destinations.
In 1975, we laced up our hiking boots and hit the Himalayan trails with our first group of trekkers to Nepal. Our philosophy was a simple one; to provide extraordinary adventures for small groups of travellers with a keen focus on responsible tourism and providing support to local communities. We haven’t slowed down since.
Today, our itineraries span every continent, offering a range of authentic adventures from multi-day treks and cultural journeys to cycle journeys and mountaineering expeditions. As we have evolved, so too have our Responsible Travel initiatives that remain at the heart of our global operations. Supported by some of the world’s most experienced and respected adventurers, we continue to innovate groundbreaking itineraries, refine our classics and to take our travellers truly off the beaten path each year.
Well…..after my wife and I have done both north and south Tassie, Flinders looks brilliant….this will be on the radar now…..brilliant camping….wonderful land that we can all enjoy and respect, both nature and respect to the original peoples who lived there for so long….
If course,,,, My mom and her 4 siblings grew up happly in an orphanage with their normal performing now adult friends (like 50 at least) they did not wanted to be adopted and they did not forced them, also, they did not got talked to simply join them like a cult, and they had a better life than alot of other people. But of course, they be better sitting there and chit chatting instead of doing a true field trip outside of 3 or 4 popular destinations. Garbage.
How ironic George talks about travelling for the mind and now the sad fact is he is loosing his.. loved watching his reporting. Wish his family well thru this terrible time. Hope for a cure soon
Hi King Julian, When developing our itineraries we work with the local indigenous community to allow travellers to gain a deeper understanding of the need to conserve the Aboriginal cultures and respect their place and lifestyle in Australia. This includes experiences such as cultural conversations and a bush tucker talk prepared by local indigenous specialist, Rayleen Brown on our Classic Larapinta trips. We work closely with the Central Land Council and actively seek indigenous guides and regularly make guiding and camp jobs available.
