The viciousness of her saying that she could pull out all her hair with very little trouble and the evil cackle that followed. Hilariously classic. I love this scene with the stepsisters.
“Falling in Love with Love” sung by Bernadette Peters was also added to this version just for her, but I thought the addition really added a great element of music to the play and did such a beautiful job of rounding out her character. It fit well, while allowing her to still be the villain, just a slightly more complex one. All around, I thought this Rogers and Hammerstein adaptation made such great choices, no need to say the cast was absolutely stellar, and really was a masterpiece.
I grew up with the Lesley Ann Warren version, so the new songs stood out when this version premiered on channel 7 (crazy to remember it was never even in theatres with such a cast).
I know it`s dumb but I just love to imagine this is Kung Lao XD Yes, the song is beautiful. I would like to buy the movie but I don`t find a DVD anywhere.
