I guess this system makes sense if the user is a salesman getting paid $15/hr to be running around doing these quotes. Cuz i as the contractor would be wasting so much of my time dealing with this tablet
Your moasure one should not be out by inches, go to your settings and check them, but also did you have it in wall mode? You don’t need to go to the corners (although I work outside so I don’t really do wall mode). I would have restarted the measurement rather than using the square up feature if you want accuracy, or even the extrapolate corner feature. Also you didn’t show your accuracy percentage (which I’d imagine is more than .5%) I’ve only just really got to grips with my Moasure one but it has gotten me some big design commissions within the last two weeks and I had excellent one:one coaching from Julien at the company. It has definitely taken practice (and I can’t use the stick to save my life) but I’ve plotted exterior steps in an irregular driveway, and the 3d models are brilliant for tracing out perspective drawings.
Curious.... so, this integration is ONLY for a smartphone or iPad? I cannot use ArcSite and Moasure One on a PC importing the various formats from the phone to ArcSite? PC is a tower Dell XPS 8940 Widows11 i7 with 65Gig memory and 10 terabytes of storage
Used to use CFS for estimating fencing back in 2001. It was the best at the time for chainlink thoufh The price of lumber changes so much you would just constantly be updating. I’m not sure I like the layout or the drawing tool rather a cad style printout not over map
This is often a misoperation. When selecting an object and then another object, it is easy to add a selection. Most people think it is a single selection, and can optimize a button, whether to add a selection or a single selection. Otherwise, frequent misoperation may occur.
Watching on my iPhone would be nice if you would make the canvas fill the page as this is what I’m most interested in seeing. I’ve never heard of this app and I currently use a competitor software.
Great video, powerful 2D drafting tool … but, if I could suggest putting a ‘chapter’ for inserting windows and doors. It’s a long and concise video so to rewatch a long video is time consuming for a basic feature. Thanks for such a great product
Hi, I want to know if the walls are not square, does the tool know and note that? Because if the walls are not square and then you tell the system to make it square, then your measurements are off. A laser tool lets you know when one side of the room is off by a few inches.
The more I used arc-site the more i love it. I also start to see all the flaws that have not been improved like other softwares. Your video should say how to present proposal in person while they hold you hold your device or give it to them on their hands... What customers and contractors like is presenting what you did but as an email or link. Let's drive to customers to present proposal 🤦♂. If i call customer service to ask, all i get is we are on it but way too much waiting for insignificant changes. All the real technical question don’t even appear on youtube channel or website. over all satisfy with what can be done, but not much different than other software a-lot cheaper than arc-site.
Good comparison with both programs. That said, I'm not sold on either until a video shows how easy (or difficult) it is to import the as-built dimensions/floor plans into a workable CAD export. Just a suggestion for a future vid.
Hi, What kind of technology does this use to locate it's self? - like GPS or something else? Also, can you describe the accuracy in mathematical terms?
According to Moasure's website, the device uses highly sensitive motion sensors within itself and can sense movement in real time. It uses those movements to calculate distance travelled and any elevation changes in whatever you are measuring. What fascinates me the most about the device is that you don't need a GPS signal or WiFi or anything like that. The device knows where it is and its measurements are taken in relation to where it was and where it is going within the space you are measuring. Hope that helps.
When I try to fill any of the shapes that aren’t a square it doesn’t work? Such as the trees and hedge stencils. It will only colour the edges nothing inside.
Hi, you can add dimensions to your drawings in a few ways that'll be visible on the canvas. Use the measure tool: arcsitesupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360051369231-Module-5-Adding-Measurements Add dimensions to your slected lines/objects: arcsitesupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050778131-Showing-Dimensions
I am very interested in this. I run an artificial grass installation business here in AZ. I have looked into the Moasure before but the fact that we have to measure turf in the 15' widths was holding me back. This changes that. Have you found that it is accurate? What is the cost of ArcSite? You can import the outlines directly from Moasure?
Yes Joseaiah! Concrete flatwork is an industry we work well in for the right business. If you'd like, you can schedule a demo with one of our ArcSite experts and we can walk you through how to use it for concrete flatwork: arcsite.com/request-demo
