I'm always wondering how so many junk Jaguars are apparently available to race them. How do you get them? Is it really just a matter of cost to keep them running?
I don't care about the Lincolns or the jaguars or even the Bentley or whatever the other makes are but that Cadillac was way too nice to be destroyed for absolutely nothing it just breaks my heart I would love love to have that car!!!
Bloody good meeting considering the amount of no shows well worth our 6 hour trip down from lochgelly were no spoiled getting meetings like that all the time
I don’t get it, yes it looks fun, but how is it cheaper to smash up classic cars worth thousands now instead of a turd of a corsa or clio? Or is there something I’m missing??
It's not cheaper, just more fun it you see the before photos of some cars you would see how much effort goes into them. Also a lot of the saveable bit will go into restoring road going cars
I mean unless the frame is rusted or bent it is definitely restorable I love to have majority of these cars that they completely destroyed it just breaks my heart watching these cars get completely destroyed for nothing!!!
Fantastic meeting, great video and I think all those that say the BMW is not a good banger have got it wrong, it is the best handling car available and at the National Banger events that end up more of a race than a crash (like the world qualifier meetings -not BWS) why wouldn't you try one? Did you see Georgie Boult in one at B2B Arlington a couple of weeks back.
UNUSUAL TO SEE ROB BROWNING GETTING ROUGHED UP LIKE THAT! ALSO UNUSUAL TO SEE JONESEY STILL RUNNING STRONG SO LATE INTO THE DAY, AND AN ABSOLUTE TREAT TO HAVE STEVE CARTER BACK ON TRACK, AT ONE POINT I THOUGHT HE MIGHT GET THE WILD CARD PASS!
Unfortunally this time they did not bulldoze all the sand away to the inner section of the track, to make it less muddy and faster. In previous years if there was to much rainfall, they removed the sand layer, exposing the asphalt or concrete beneath. I hope they will remove the mud next time, if it is again soaked with water, But nice video anyway!
fair play filming in that weather. Noticed a lot of people doing their team mates this year lol and and that was before they all turned the same shade of brown
The Granada Coupe and Jag MK10 were IMO far to good to banger race, I understand racing rot boxes/Un economical to restore cars and i love them getting a final blast on the track but those 2 cars looked dead straight IMO.
In previous years when the track was way to muddy like now, they bulldozed the mud away exposing the concrete beneath for better grip and speed. To bad that they didn't do this again this time.
