I am trying to recieve my husbands medical records as he passed very unexpectedly. I am in california and they say i need either this form, show proof of executor of his estate or power of attorney. He had none. Seems silly to fill this out for a piece if paper. But i was told its new california law. Ugh im so exhausted but thank you for helping me understand the form. I hope it helps me get his records.
Hi if I was appointed as an exeutor but my sister died w/ out any money or house but inherited about $53k in my parents estate and my sister left a last will disowned her own children and isntead wants all her inheritance go to her grand children how can I dont this form w/ my situation?
Very helpful!! How do I avoid having a sibling if the deceased didn't want one of the siblings to have any part of this? Would POA work still at this point? Or is that void after the person passed away? Really struggling with having to name all names specially when that person punched the father in the face and broke his nose and hurt him blaha blah

What if there is a Last Will and Testament and the estate is under $ 184,000? What if there is a Last Will with 2 Executors and not all the Executors agree to use the Small Estates Affidavit? Must the Small Estate's Affidavit comply with the directions of the Last Will? In other words, if there is a Last Will, can the person signing the Small Estates Affidavit give the money/assets out in violation of the terms of the Last Will?
First, thank you! This is so helpful. How do I see the documents you are referring to such as filling out 1H and 1J? It sounds like you are displaying a separate document but all I can see is the form you are filling out.
I wish i would have seen this prior to filing . I had a paralegal help me with the paperwork, she filed the 001 form but not the 002 or 003 forms. Now trying to file these forms to get a $3,000 court appointment attorney fee waived🙄
I know to some people it seems dumb, but when you are dyslexic and you need to help the family as the eldest, This helped so much. And I can just replay stuff over and over, now ill never forget.
Thank you for the info. I have question about #7 on the affidavit. If 4 adult children are the successors, do they all have to be listed and sign the form? Or can 1 or 2 of them sign and then divide the $ evenly from the account? Is there a preferred way to handle? since we do not all live close by, it would be difficult to have all 4 adult children sign this form.
This is so extremely helpful, especially since my adult TBI son, has no income as he suffered his brain injury in 1988, when still a student in college. There has been increased decline in the past 2 years, requiring my needing to apply for Conservatorship to ensure his safety. Your videos have saved us thousands of dollars. Thank you.
Be cautious. The court may not rule in your favor and appoint a public guardian. You don't need permission from a court to help your son make decisions. You already have permission. They should not have a say.
Hi Grant, my cousin past away he was also my roomate and his mom and brother are in Mexico! I went to Chase bank and they gave me the forms from the video however they don't explain anything! I'm i able to claim access to his bank account being his Cousin and roomate with this forms?? His mom (my aunt) his brother and my even my mother all agree that i should claim bank account access but i just don't know if its legal for me since my cousins mom (my aunt) is a live however she is in Mexico. If you can please reply (Not legal advice obviously) just write an opinion i appriciated. Thank you :)
Thank You! This was a fantastic video. These forms are quite overwhelming. Is there another video that specifically shows the GC-130 attachments as you went through them or did I just miss it? The video seemed to stay focused on the GC-130 form iteslf.
I filed in pro per and made some mistakes. These videos helped me to correct my errors and understand which powers to request and how. I feel more confident in my amended filing. Thank you very much for this video series!

Wonderful information. I hope one day you can help those of us objecting to an ex parte petition. It seems unfair when there's recorded evidence that the appointed Court Attorney has made up her mind who should prevail (petitioner or objector) before receiving the Private Investigator's report (especially with all the evidence we provided in the one day we were given prior to the deadline to object). Anyone who has information on this subject, please help!
