As great of a performance as has ever been given, especially considering how minimal his actual screen time wound up being in the film. I'd say this is his pinnacle moment, but he has several others that are nearly as good. In the tv footage, at the board hearing, Pleasance was basically as good as he was here. This is just more memorable because of the setting and the music. Also, in 2, in the patrol car with the nurse and the marshal...that one tends to get overlooked, but he was phenomenal in that scene, as well..
