Good to see youngsters getting into fly fishing. If you're not sure how to do catch and release correctly, just ask the fishery manager to show you. He'll keep you right.
Well what I seen if I was the owner of the fishery I’d be going nuts at the handling, bouncing trout around on the ground , dry hand handling and absolutely hooks are not barbless. Debarb the hooks , keep the net and fish in the water and dip your hands before touching them. It’s my biggest biggest bugbear. Those fish are so expensive 😢
You need to use barbless hooks, keep fish in the water and don't handle them, your treatment of that brown was a disgrace, sorry but these fish are for everyones enjoyment and you need to treat them right
90% of the 100’s of flies that we have are barbless. In a hobby where the average participant age is over 55yrs, much needs to be done to encourage the younger generation. Your comment has done the opposite. Thank you, Nick (Dad of Lad)
@@DadLadgoFishing-qd3te I agree we need more youngsters in the sport, but we also need them to be taught correctly to treat the fish with respect, im not having a go at your boy, im trying to encourage him to do things right, its not difficult to keep the fish in the water, use barbless hooks and then let it recover before returning it.
