I am currently documenting the ongoing construction of a rare Victress C3 Coupe. For more information on the Victress, and the historical era of American fiberglass sports cars that it represents, I highly recommended checking out UndiscoveredClassics.com
This particular car was owned by Merrill Powell, from whom I purchased it. Mr Powell was in fact a VP of Victress in the 50's and actually designed the Victress Coupes in 1952-1953!
This shell was made by the LaDawri Coachworks (which had acquired the molds), in 1965, shortly before they went out of business. This is perhaps then one of, if not, THE last of the Victress C3/ LaDawri Castilians ever made. The original owner and builder never completed the car, and it sat in a Detroit warehouse for over 40 years, before finally being acquired by Merrill.
Please subscribe and set notifications to see the videos as the build proceeds on this unique, historical project.
