Love Criterion. Only started buying them recently. Got a few so far Naked Lunch Videodrome Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me Cure Fantastic Planet The Piano Teacher Funny Games Paris, Texas Hausu Memories of Murder Y Tu Mama Tambien
I wish I lived in the States sometimes, there's so many Criterion discs I would get in the Barnes and Noble 50% Sale. But for what I can easily access in the UK, it's always an exciting time to check out what the company has to offer (for the most part). Keep up the good work, my friend! I liked that transition you did with the Lone Wolf and Cub set from screen to your hand. That one I still need to dive into
Found you from the criterion video, and I’ve used it to explain to my parents/family why criterion rules. You worded it much better than I could haha! Anyways, I love your content and your channel! Somewhat recently just subscribed, as well as dropped a follow on your Letterboxd!
Man this just made my day, thanks a million for watching and I'm so glad you're enjoying the content! Life is pretty insane right now so I don't know when my next upload will be but I've got things planned that I'm very very excited to put out
Thanks! I'm so glad you liked it, that's unfortunately not an actual movie though that's just a gigachad meme with the criterion logo on top haha, now I want a gigachad movie directed by Claire Denis
Thanks again for an amazingly edited review. I remember the days when asura's wrath first got released and sitting down with my brother and just watching the awe-inspiring fight scenes, the shut up button, and that scene with the hot springs and just how nuts the mood of the story shifts throughout it.
Thanks for watching! I can't get enough of how well balanced the story is, it juggles absurd action and genuinely heartfelt storytelling so well it boggles my brain
My man thank you for telling me that, I just tried it out on my last space marine and it feels and looks a hundred times better than my thick method lol, thanks!
not to me. Dont get me wrong, its a very good label but prices are too high, extras could be better (indicator, arrow), transfers tend to be very good, but eureka or arrow are the same level. Packaging is mediocre, boring, and the title selection is too artsy. They're top tier for sure, but labels like arrow, indicator should have the same hype, and they don't.
Sorry but the packaging is anything but mediocre.... like... what? And the title selection is supposed to be artsy that's their brand. Just like Arrow has its brand which is more genre/cult based and Indicator is somewhere in between. I agree that sometimes the extras can be underwhelming on Criterion but when they're good they hit it out of the park.
@@jackflash8567 about the title selection, arrow, indicator or even kino, offer a more diverse offer than criterion, certainly more entertaining. Anyway thats my perception, Im not pretending theres an objective bar from where to measure these things, though criterion gets a lot more admiration and fandom that it deserves IMO
I have absolutely no idea why this video came in my recomends but I enjoyed it. I thought it was pretty endearing that you call the figures "little guys".
The Criterion Collection is certainly a gateway drug to amazing films most causal movie go-ers will never hear about. Great collection as well 👍🏼 when I started out really getting into cinema, I made list of Every movie that is on both the Letterboxd Top 250 and IMDb Top 250, and from that combined list, I bought every criterion I could. No Movie has been a disappointment yet 👍🏼
Gateway drug is an understatement. Every year for my birthday and Christmas I ask for a Criterion Gift Card and I get one from my sister. Those damn B&N 50% off sales are the death of me. I spend WAY too much money on Criterion films. Especially when I upgrade the ones I already have.
Let's GO! It's always nice to see someone get into this hobby, but your energy is exciting. Keep going and may The Emperor help guide your hand while painting
I really like your format of how you edit and show off your video. Just keep this content going and I'm sure you'll be up and coming in the RU-vid scene. Nice job!
