I was glad to hear Springa mention SSD’s shows at the On Broadway and Ruthie’s Inn among his favorite memories. Those two venues are legendary and don’t get enough mention along with the other legendary venues here that are not Gilman, like The Farm, Tool & Die, The Mab, I-Beam, Omni, the Keystones, etc.
I missed the first 2 hours of this when it was live so I just wanted to say how cool it was that Dave basically was answering so many questions and acknowledging so many comments in the chat the whole time. He was always such a down to earth and personable guy and I'm glad to see that hasn't changed at all. Love this guy and am praying for continued good health for him!
I was a Metal kid Hard core is something that just turned up in metal Biohazard were the frist true Hardcore I heard I didn't realise it at the time. The Pistols the Clash Susie and the Banshees U2 Blondie was the punk that got to me growing up in Auckland New Zealand early 80s. It's all the same Sabbath Rollins tells the same story Sabbath were the gateway drug into heavy metal or music. Mustaine Hetfeld were the link up of punk and metal in music and ethos as well. We have had some great Hardcore Bands here in Australia. Mark of Kanne Toe to Toe death punch
This goes with the last these are some Aust Hardcore you probably know of them I hope not this is the affect.. 1 One inch punch Stupid me 2 Punter a minutes silence 3 Toe 2 Toe Slave 4The Mark of Cain Degenerate Boy. 5 they won't even let me listen to this one it's Hardcore light it's the message at this stage. 5 the Living end prisoners of society.

@@binxboi7156 ya…totally. But Minor Threat would have been amazing, even if it were just seven songs I’m not talking about a tour. There legacy is a few points of interest the music being thee most important.
Life of dreams baby. I still listen to it everyday. Sundance was a blast. I can still smell it. I’m so confused how some people say crumbsuckers sold out with beast on my back. Why. It’s as hardcore as it gets. The guitar work is phenomenal but that doesn’t make it heavy metal.
Talked with this guy side stage for quite awhile when my band Inverter just played with Murphy's Law in Boston- really nice guy with some great stories.
Question, I know death before dishonor is a early nyhc band( because when I was upstate I read the nyhc book, which basically makes me a nyhc know it all, lol) but what about the Boston straight edge band death before dishonor?they basically stole the name, right?
