Welcome to ElkNut Outdoor Productions where we specialize in elk speak. Have you ever wondered if that bugling herd bull is calling cows to him or warning a young satellite away? Or why a cows social mew suddenly changes to a nervous grunt? Paul's focus on elk vocalization will give you the ability to understand what elk are saying and more importantly you'll know how to respond! Understanding elk language adds yet another weapon to any hunters arsenal.
We know the evil wicked ways you kill OUR GOD FATHER ALMIGHTY WOLVES. CHANGE WILL COME TO PROTECTION OF OUR WOLVES AND WILD LIFE. . . ✝️✝️✝️🐺🐺🐺🛐🛐🛐💯🆓🇺🇸🦅
Dirty Bastards following the Elk. Good thing people never kill anything, they’re Vegetarians. At least that’s what I read on the internet. These are my fellow hunters??
Beautiful Wilderness in Idaho. In Portugal we do not have such Wildlife! Here wolves were killed from South to almost the North. Exist only a few packs in the North of Portugal. Great quality video. Awesome to see wolves in that beautiful nature! Thanks for sharing.
The Wolves aren't "The dirty bastards"( ppl like yourselv s are). Only the ppl that STUDY what happens to the LAND w/to many grazers KNOW....THE WOLVES ARE NECESSARY to prevent ecological breakdown!!!
Two wolves show themselves and look right at you. You didn't know that there were were 3 or 4 on your Six. A simultaneous hunt is a thrilling thing to experience. I always give way.
How do you know when to use the advertising sequence over the slow play? Both seem to work well on quiet bulls where you have only heard a bugle or two. Does it depend on the time of day? Any insight you have would be very helpful.
True, both Tactics are deadly on similar encounters. If I see a small group of Satellites or a lone raghorn especially (but not only) early in the season I prefer the Advertising over the Slow Play. I generally reserve the Slow Play for the more mature bulls. -- A good Advertising Sequence in a mature bulls bedding area is also very deadly! Most bulls of that caliber will not stand for this intruder! This is more of a dark timber tactic than open/sage country.
I have a question? What happens if you know there is elk in the area because of trail cameras. No bulls are bugling period. But you know they are there. I have been in elk and not hear them bugle at all. they are pushed really hard though. What can I do to see if he's there?
You have two choices here. Consider the Slow Play Tactic or the Creative Cow Calling Sequence. Both take patience & are found in the ElkNut Mobile App under 'Sequences" Good luck!
@@ElkNutOutdoorProductions thank you very much!! I have not killed a bull yet. That's my goal next year! I really appreciate sir! Have a wonderful day.
When using your voice (no mouth reed) for the Nervous Grunt you suck air in. When using a mouth reed/diaphragm you blow out; you do not want to draw air in & possibly suck the reed into your throat. Thanks!
Thanks for the awesome info Paul. This is my 2nd year archery hunting in south east Idaho. I had a ton of close in counters but couldn’t make it happen. I found your content and it’s awesome it totally makes sense and I can’t wait 10 days 👍🏹
Paul Jr: "They've been fighting for 15 minutes." Fighting elk stop fighting, look around, "Joe, did you hear someone say something?" "Nah you're hearing things again Stanley". Continue fighting. LOL
