Is this not the same voice that ask for higher wages? Real question. Cause As I see Basic income and high wage always seem to be the talking point but I think you cant have both cause that puts too much weight on the system.
I'm from DENVER born in 84 at Denver General. I watched our city be took over from out of state people and businesses. They have destroyed the inner city and our parks and communities. They pushed out our natives that worked for the City of Denver. Parks City Council police departments and more. The budget cuts in the last 10 years have killed our state. I'm Spanish and my family comes from the San Louis Valley. I'm not Mexican enough for Mexicans and I'm not latin enough for the latinos in our communities. OUR PEOPLE IN DENVER HOLD EACH OTHER BACK INSTEAD OF HELPING EACH OTHER.. WERE 48 PERCENT OF CONSUMERS IN COLORADO AND WE STILL DON'T HAVE A IDENTITY IN DENVER. I'M FROM WESTWOOD WHEN IT WAS BAD IN THE 90s AND IT HASENT CHANGED. Their pushing us out and GENTRIFICATION took over the latin and black communities. 5 point/ Westwood/NorthSide renamed our parks in the name of gentrification. We are the MESTIZO!!! Proud of our culture and it's time we fight for what is truly ours..... WE ARE LOSING THIS RACE AND NEED A VOICE IN DENVER.
