Same issue on 2000 f150. Have you figured it out?

Took a chance and bought a trans from the junk yard, for my 2002 E250 4.2L. I believe it's the same trans, and installed it 5 months ago. It now periodically does the same thing, especially when it's cold and sometimes slip going into 3rd gear. Added some trans fluid to it and it eased a bit but still periodically. Think I'd change the oil and filter, like I should of from the beginning.

I did the same thing with the bed slides on my 2017 model but was lucky enough to catch if before it tore. Now it has a scuff as opposed to a tear. The best way I’ve found to fold it up is to drop it about halfway with all the poles out and slide in. Then pull all the canvas out so as not to damage it. On mine though I also need to be careful of where the wiring sits as well. Trial and error I guess. Also had an issue with the canopy separating from the top because of the jacks not right enough letting the whole camper “twist” when inside after setup. I usually set it all up. Inside and out. Then tighten the jacks again to make sure nothing has adjusted. Great functional camper though. Happy camping.

Not sure if you fixed yet. If you have an awning shop or something like that. They might be able to stitch the torn section up

Couple of notes. My mistake was using my stabilizer jacks as leveling devices. This is a No-No; which I've since learned. There are many ways to level the camper side to side, but using the stabilizer jacks is a recipe for disaster. Also, the bed rails on this camper come into each other upon fold down, and veer away from each other side to side; this is why they are prone to catching canvas that is in the way. The King beds are great, but due to the immense size, you have to be cautious about making sure they aren't catching upon closing the unit up.

Did you ever find the issue? I had my 4r70w rebuilt a couple years ago and it does the exact same thing.

so this is happening after the trans was rebuilt? mine did the same thing it ended up killing the torque converter, then my trans guy blamed it on my trans oil cooler. now we are going to replace them both and hope it didn't damage the rebuilt trans..

Tomorrow morning should be interesting. I will do two things to improve the ability for the video to provide some concrete evidence. I will have the engine cover off and I will be quiet during the initial shifts Hopefully, this will make the sound speak for itself!
