You should be able to just lift the bubble off after sliding the knife under the glue and keep the cardboard with minimal peel marks!

they all originated from the original Space Ghost cartoon from the 60's, which was for, y'know, kids. And before their time on adult swim they were also on regular cartoon network and not quite as vulgar. not to mention cartoon planet which while it had their coast to coast versions, was still kid friendly.
