Rented property (beach front house and carriage house) for 12 people for $15k for the week. Upon arrival, carriage house was infested with hundreds of bugs throughout the house. The carriage house was essentially unusable for two days until management company (Five Star Properties/Bliss Beach Rentals) sent a maintenance technician who sprayed the external premises. We requested no internal spraying since we had belongings in the house. The spraying reduced the infestation, but bugs remained throughout the house (dozens daily) for the length of the stay. Family members suffered multiple bites, including while in bed. Despite multiple calls, texts, and emails, neither Five Star/Bliss nor the owner (contacted through an intermediary) responded with further follow-up to address the situation. We’ve been coming to the area for >30 years and have never experienced such conditions and lack of professionalism.

We just finished a week here and it was very nice! Newly remodeled this year and the renovations are very nice. I was super impressed with the kitchen and everything that was provided. We would rent again!
i helped build this house.....by helping i mean picking up the trash for the guy who carried the lumber to the guy who cut the wood for the guy who actually was building the house.
Can you tell me how you made that water look beautiful and turquoise in the thumbnail for this video? Because the water in Destin does not look like that! I am in Destin right now at the Silver Shells St. Lucia and am disappointed that many photos and videos online show Caribbean-like blue water and yet it is not like that at all here!
We have been to Destin like 6 times already and have seen the ocean water look REALLY clean and clear and calm while a few times its been murky. Last year we went and the ocean was very murky and the current was very strong at crab island. The water didn't calm down until the very last day and we were very upset. Otherwise the water is very clear and calm ... The water is NOT carribbean blue at all, its emerald green ...
I stayed at this exact same house a few years ago. It was a bit less decorated back then ig? But that house was amazing! I wish to go back there. I slept in the attic with my cousins 😋

We have stayed here before on the A side. Place is awesome. I believe the new owners are only renting out the entire house A and B side together. Pretty disappointed in that.
This house is breathtaking HOWEVER, unless you like cleaning during your stay, dealing with a broken shower outside to wash off before coming in, access codes that don’t work, fireplace didn’t work in master, draining problems in shower then it’s not worth it. There are a few homes down the beach I found and talked with renters about that are far worth your money then dealing with situations like these.
