I lived in MD half my life and I cannot tell the nuances of MD accent but I know there is big difference between dark people and light people talking. So I can rather tell your racial profile by listening than what part of MD you are from.
Originally from PG county so we have similar accents. My favorite part was when you said the grandparents "ON" my.... You pronounced it oin (to rhyme with coin). I have been teased about the way I say that, as in turn ON the light.
I'm from NJ but spent most of my life in Fla. Your accent sounds more northern than Southern. And you use good grammar. I have picked up some things from southerners as you have too. But you sound educated and you speak well, without sounding like a nerd.
Brings me back to my childhood. My grandparents lived at the end of Erdman Ave up until I was in college ('97) and I miss how calm and peaceful it was there.... except for some drunk Yahoo who thought he could swim across the lake on Independence Day in '84. Got tired in the middle, screamed for help and I had to ask family to call the police. Ah, memories, lol.
Great vlog with detailed info. Do you recommend renting a car to get around or do you feel you can see what you need to with uber and walking around for a reasonable price? I'm traveling their next month and have been debating this especially since I hear that their car rental companies require you to buy their insurance.
Hey, I would just catch Uber/Lyft/Taxis if I were you. Renting a car was somewhat of a hassle. Just stay somewhere where u can get to things in walking distance such as Panama City. It’s great you are doing research to compare. Good luck and have a blast!!
I'm from Upper Marlboro in PG County MD, went to school at Suitland. I don't see a huge difference from there, but everyone didn't have a singular accent either because PG has a good variety- you could have someone sound city, country or a mix all at the same school. I've never really thought we had a different accent, but maybe I can't hear it either lol
Exactly, everyone is mixed up from different cities/counties so you can expect to hear a little bit of everything, but similar trends overall. Thanks for watching!! 😄
I'm from Northern VA. We have boring accents. I always thought strong MD accents were very interesting. My dad is from there he says tew for two. Or surdeey for Saturday. Or weyensdee for wensday. I probably got it wrong still. I try but I can never get it right. They look at me like I'm crazy lol
Hey, thanks for sharing. I have never heard anyone from Northern VA speak, but now I am curious lol your dad’s accent sounds accurate based on the words you mentioned 😄
Awesome video Guys ...Thanks for Visit 🇵🇦...Our old ,old ,city called Panamá Viejo .. only We have just one old building..names The Catedral....then comes Casco Viejo..AND After Downtown .. God Bless You Guys 💯🇵🇦🌏
The last time I saw the tide move out like that was in Phuket, Thailand 🇹🇭 January of 2004. Tons of people walked out onto the open beach also, and were swept away in the largest recorded tsunami ever. 100,000 people died on that day. You were brave 😝. What the… is there a part 2? 🤣🤣🤣😳
Hello neighbor (Upper Marlboro) Thank you so much for this video. My family (me, my husband and twin 15 yr olds that act like 2yr olds) and I are going to Lake Phoenix for certification this weekend and you helped to easy some nerves. Question(s) - where did you stay? ok 2 questions... Did you take your own food with you? Question #3 ok this is now turning into a hold my hand type situation lol but you said ask away lol What time in the afternoon did you finish? I ask this because the twins will be looking at me side-eyed asking for food.
Hey, thank you for watching my video, so glad to hear you & the family are getting certified soon! So to all answer all of your questions, 1.) I stayed at a hotel in Petersburg VA, about 25 mins from the scuba park. I think it was called Days Inn, but I cannot remember. 2.) Yes, I brought my own food with me. Basically I packed lunch daily and brought it to the scuba park. They will give you a 30-45 min break for lunch. There are no restaurants or food places near the park to grab food so it’s best to bring food (sandwich, chips, apple, fruit, nuts, etc) with you. 3.) We finished at about 4 or 5pm in the evening. It goes by pretty fast because you will be constantly doing back to back exercises. Remember to remain calm and breathe. You will do great! Good luck & congratulations in advance 😉😁
Hi, thanks so much for the video. This was great. I am going there in August for our anniversary and the Uber & Free Rides USA information you gave is going to really help. Thanks
Hey fam im getting ready to go to San Jose Costa Rica in June for my birthday. Which hotel did you both stay in? and any spots there you highly recommend? Nice video by the way I see yall had a blast!
Hey!! Glad you got a chance to watch the video. So the hotel we stayed in was not the best location. We stayed right in San Jose in an isolated area, no balcony at all. It was called the “Park Inn by Radisson, San Jose” the price was good but covid made it boring. However, when we visited “Jaco, Costa Rica” about an hour from San Jose, it was LIT! I suggest you stay in that area. OR you can always stay in a chill hotel in San Jose and drive to Jaco if you choose to rent a car. I’m sure they have tour options too if you don’t want to drive in another country. So hype for you to go! I’ll be in Santo Domingo for my bday in June. I’m sure you already been lol
@@kieramarie614 Hey thanks for the information I was talking to your dad a couple of days ago and he told me that you had traveled to Costa Rica and you made a video so I watch it and got some ideas before I seen your video I had already got my flight tickets flying into San Jose so I figured I would get a hotel there which is Barcel San Jose it looks like a nice hotel and got real good reviews I even watch this lady and her husband on RU-vid they took a tour around the hotel and they offer a free buffet breakfast my whole stay and they do have a excursion desk to book trips so im good on that part. I'll try to visit alot of them places you recommend and that waterfall forest you both went to look amazing. Well I hope you and your boyfriend enjoy Dominican Republic for your birthday us Geminis love to party my birthday is June 11th so yeah im most definitely gonna turn up lol. Thanks again fam, stay safe and God bless 🙌🏾🙏🏾❤️
@@rodneyeskew8629 I’m so glad you did your research first. That’s the best way to go so you get the most of your experience. As much as you travel, you should start your on RU-vid channel too lol! But you capture a lot with pics & videos either way. Our time is coming! Gemini gang all day 😎 Enjoy your trip to the fullest & be sure to let me know how it goes. God bless you as well & def be safe ✊🏽💯
When I talk fast or to my friends, I end up saying “prolly” or the same way you mentioned. At work or in a professional environment I TRY to say the word correctly by breaking it down
