Hi @tsm809, thanks for your message and interest in PolyBoard. In reply to your question, that is either because of the colours assigned to your material, or the background colour of your 3D view. Both of these can be adjusted to suit your preferences. More info and all PolyBoard guides and tutorials in our Help Centre: wooddesigner.org/help-centre/. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions: wooddesigner.org/contact/.
Hi @SamZer-e2p, thank you for your message and interest in PolyBoard. Feel free to send us more information, and even a sketch, so we can understand better: wooddesigner.org/contact/.
Hi Ahmed, This can be accomplished using PolyBoard. You will need to add a double back to your cabinet space and position it at the front of the cabinet. Once you've done this, set the top piece to a nill material, which will allow you to add a door to the top of the cabinet. This approach will create a bench with a door for storage.
@@ahmedhabib8017 Hi Ahmed, I recommend updating to the latest version of PolyBoard. You can update on our website, wooddesigner.org/ When adding a door, it's important to recognise what zone of your cabinet you have selected in PolyBoard. For any further technical assistance, get in touch with our team on the forum: wooddesigner.org/forum/
Hi there, Part labels can be generated in PolyBoard. For parts to be labelled in the nesting formation, our OptiNest software allows this to be generated.
Hi Maher, PolyBoard operates based on overall dimensions. When adding a global door, it is important to account for this in the final measurements. For instance, if the cabinet depth is required to be 600mm and an 18mm door is to be added to the front, the overall dimensions should be adjusted to 618mm. If you need any further assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to our team at support@wooddesigner.org
Hi there! If you select a single zone on the left hand side and then select it for a second time, it will select the whole area as shown in this video. Each individual zone needs to be selected individually. Isolating two zones to be selected in this context is not possible at this time. If you need any further assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to our team at support@wooddesigner.org
Hi Maher, The best way to cut a groove in a panel for a strip light is through the inner tooling feature. You can select a panel, choose to edit the panel structure on the parameters screen, and create an inner tooling. Find more information on inner tooling here: wooddesigner.org/help-centre/polyboard-additional-design-features/
Hi there, Can you please reach out to our team at support@wooddesigner.org and provide more details on your request? We will be happy to assist. Thank you.

Hey Ness, I'm trying to understand the theory behind the y-position of the 35mm hole according to the overlay rule of 11mm. I don't get why you don't just offset it by 11mm instead of 6.5, as it's the center of the 35mm hole that's referenced.
the free version is next to useless because there are no dimensions given... it just ends up being frustrating and confusing and even to build a simple straight stair you'll need to calculate everything again to be sure you don't make a mistake... way too expensive for private or occasional users.
Hi John, thanks for your feedback! As a suggestion, if you want an inexpensive software solution, plus access to expert advice, you could use our StairFile service: wooddesigner.org/stairfile-service/
I’ve been working in polyboard for the past 2 months and I can say that this is the best furniture designing software out there! The fittings and positioning rules features almost makes producing like a game! I use polyboard coupled with optinest and I cut my boards on a CNC with the fittings holes drilled! Hi! If your Polyboard views appear small, try these steps: 1) Check and adjust the zoom level in the document. 2) Modify the view settings in Polyboard. 3) Update your screen resolution settings, especially for high-res displays. 4) Ensure Polyboard is up-to-date. If issues persist, please send more details to our technicians via the forum: wooddesigner.org/forum/

Hi @Balazs227, The easiest way is to add a Nil shelf in the zone to divide it, then add a first built-in drawer with a Nil front on top, select the two zones in 2 clicks (from the bottom zone), then add the drawers in "Global applied" mode. For more help, you can contact us on our technical forum managed by experienced woodworking trainers: wooddesigner.org/forum/ Thank you
Hi Abhishek, thanks for your question. You can easily add glass drawers in either of these 2 conditions, by adding a spacer or 155° hinges. If you would like a more detailed reply on how to do so, our technical experts on our forum would be happy to help you wooddesigner.org/support-plans/- The Wood Designer Team
Hello Balázs, PolyBoard can handle doors on corner cabinets using, for example, hardware options such as Blum 79T9590b and the "surface split" function. Hello Kulcsar, OptiNest only outputs in DXF and not to any other extensions. Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions: wooddesigner.org/contact/
To insert a split panel into "nil," you should choose the panel in the property screen on the right-hand side and modify the material to "nil panel." This option can be located at the top of the material list in the dropdown menu. If you need more help, feel free to consult the forum subscription: wooddesigner.org/forum/

Hi Rami, Yes, this is achievable using the most recent version of Polyboard. When the main box panels are mitred, the external zones, including the frames, will also be mitred. Cheers,
