The John Ankerberg Show is a weekly half-hour nationwide television program whose purpose is to demonstrate that Christianity is true so that our viewers will embrace it for themselves and learn to share it effectively with others. The formats of choice for this apologetics ministry are informal debates between representatives of differing belief systems, and documentary-styled presentations on major issues in society to which the historic Christian faith has something of consequence to say. The programs are designed to reach and appeal to a thinking audience of Christians and non-Christians alike.
Revelation 13:7 Antichrist It was also given to him (by God) to make war with the saints and to overcome them (kill them), and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him (by God).
John Ankerberg , no idea why I subbed your channel , but I did , have you been in the Watchtower Society of Jehovas Witnesses also yourself, because you post about them a lot is why I ask , and if so how did you get out from thier nonsense? David in Wales
Jesus said watch and be ready. We have the parable of the 10 virgins to teach us to not miss the boat.we are not promised tomorrow here,,but if I am here and the rapture happens,my worry is about running over someone, trying to get up there to meet Jesus.😮
0:36 - No, God the Father is Jesus' Father, not the Holy Spirit. While the Holy Spirit was involved in transferring Jesus' soul into Mary's womb, He didn't beget Jesus like a normal birth. Also, what these guys are missing is that the Tyndale New Testament, Coverdale Bible, Matthew's Bible and Great Bible (which all predate the KJV) have "His father and mother" in Luke 2:33. The question needs to be asked, did these translators deny the virgin birth? Of course not. It's obvious that Joseph was Jesus' father in an adopted or legal sense, not in a biological one. The modern translations aren't in error here, anymore than the KJV calling Joseph a parent of Jesus in Luke 2:27 and Luke 2:41.
Doesn't the Bible, GOD's WORD, say something about women preaching? This may be the 21st Century but I know that GOD hasn't changed HIS Mind about the subject.
Wow, what a unique view of John’s relationship with Jesus on earth, but the Jesus in Heaven, the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. Love this.
Always talking of "New Light"... Never see the old, more-than-good-enough Light. I was arguing with ONE! (seldom enough...) JW, about trinity; after 3! hours slapping each other with bible verses, my HEART was aching in pain, i said we have to stop here; he smiled arrogantly and said why, we just begun. I left the room. When i came back few minutes later, God had taken spirit of bossiness out of my heart! Felt then like the left holes of a squid been around my heart...thankfully went on and NEVER argued with one again. I think, here we have to take care a LOT, Matthew 7.6. Blessings!
"What is the Probability of Life Arising Purely by Chance?" Impossible to answer this question until we are able to show how life came into existence. There is no scientific theory for how life began, so far all we have are hypotheses for how life might have come into existence.
of the great God and of our Savior, Jesus Christ: Paul here discusses the “glorious manifestation” of both God and Jesus Christ. Usually, the term “manifestation” is used only in connection with Jesus. (2Th 2:8; 1Ti 6:14; 2Ti 1:10; 4:1, 8) Some scholars therefore argue that only one person is referred to here, so they render this phrase, “of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.” They thus view this text as proof that the inspired Scriptures describe Jesus as “the great God.” However, many scholars and Bible translators acknowledge that this passage can properly be rendered as it is in the New World Translation, referring to two distinct persons.-Support for this rendering can be found in the Kingdom Interlinear, App. 2E, “Of the Great God and of [the] Savior of Us, Christ Jesus.”
Matthew 22:30 Jesus answered:"At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven." Only the tribulation survivors will keep breeding children because their physical bodies do not transform yet.
There was no Christian church after the first Century. Once the apostles died, Satan took over. Jesus had foretold it. Paul had foretold it. That is how a church structure with Popes, Cardinals, Bishops and other specially clad Priests took over. Jesus had outlawed the appointment of priests of any kind among his disciples (Matthew 23:8-10). The NTW has nothing to do with JWs. The NWT came out in its present form 100 years after God began to gather His Witnesses as promised at Micah 4:1-5. Blaming the tools is a sure sign of a bad workman.
I used to be associated with the Watchtower organization (they are NOT Jehovah’s witnesses in description, only as an assumed title). Gladly no longer the case. Having said that, the argumentation used in this video is surprisingly weak. Are we to assume that because two individuals share the same titular description, Savior, that they are then part of some triune godhead? Many people throughout the Scriptures have been identified as Saviors, but only in the case of Jesus is it asserted that this somehow makes him one with God, vs. working within God’s purpose as an instrumentality of salvation. I have been struggling with issues around the Trinity since my departure from the Watchtower organization, and I have yet to find a compelling reason to believe it.
Fist thing is friend, you need to be born again of God The Holy Spirit and read a real translation of the Bible and you will see YHWH's Triun nature right there in English. May God the Father, the Son and God The Holy Spirit be with you.
@@georgehunter7099 Thank you for your concern George. I am reading the NET and LSB translations now - both very well done in their own way. While the NWT has its good points in the 1984 edition, especially around the rendering of Hebrew verb tenses, it is also written with a clear agenda and is therefore not trustworthy. I have done some real soul searching, which has included being in touch with theologians and others on the subject of the Trinity, and as I said in my comment, I remain unconvinced. I recognize I probably come to the table with biases that I am trying very hard to eliminate. My thinking has definitely come a long way since my days with Watchtower, and I am sure it has a long way to go. I remain open to what the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit reveal.
@@WatchtowerHunter Excellent friend really seek Him and you will find Him. One verse I love comes from Hebrews.1:10 where the writer quotes from Psal.102:25ff. The Psalm is dedicated to YHWH, but here the writer says it is about Jesus so in Hebrews we have Jehovah addressing Jesus as Jehovah. Just be open, Bless you.
I remember in 1976 being told that the only people capable of accurately translating the Bible are those who understand the true doctrines .....Jehovahs Witnessess .....so they gave themselves Cart Blanche....too eviscerate the Holy Scriptures ......FACT 😂😢
Well, you critics are just wrong, Jehovah is a Savior and Jesus also is a Savior. Before Jesus came to the earth, the only Savior was Jehovah who rescued his people Israel numerous times from their enemies as stated at: (Isaiah 43:11) I-I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.” “We must obey God as ruler rather than men. The God of our forefathers raised up Jesus, whom you slew, hanging him upon a stake. GOD EXALTED THIS ONE AS CHIEF AGENT AND SAVIOR TO HIS RIGHT HAND, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. And we are witnesses of these matters, and so is the holy spirit, which God has given to those obeying him as ruler.”-Acts 5:29-32. Jesus became a savior of all those putting faith in him and billions who will be resurrected by Jesus during the millennium. There is no misunderstanding except on the part of Ankerberg and his JW critics.
@criticalthinker1513 In matters of doctrine, they are scriptural. People always focus on dates that were speculations, not doctrines of faith. There is a huge difference between the two, every religion has made incorrect predictions based on incomplete understanding but that has nothing to do with interpreting Scriptures and prophecies correctly.
@criticalthinker1513 JW's have been having organ transplants for years, they just don't accept blood transfusions. A recent study found that kidney transplant recipients who did not receive blood transfusions prior to surgery had survival and organ function rates similar to those of kidney patients who did receive transfusions. Researchers at the University of Minnesota compared Jehovah’s Witnesses, who refused blood transfusions for religious reasons, to a control group of non-Jehovah’s Witnesses who received kidneys along with transfusions. Their findings were published in the June 1988 issue of Transplantation. Hitchhiking Risky There have been many who had open heart surgery, even liver transplants without blood, receiving an organ transplant is a conscience matter, not transfusions.
EVERYONE who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born from God and conquers the world. To the one that conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life and they will by no means be harmed by the second death. (1 John 5:1-5; Rev 2:7, 11) Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood, you have NO LIFE within yourselves.” (John 6:53) Yet JWs publicly deny his flesh and blood. Therefore, they have NO LIFE in themselves. This is how the devil misleads the chosen that found their way to JW, by using men to convince them to refuse the lifesaving emblems. This is a gross sin perpetuated by a sickening cult! One hope, one faith, one calling. (Eph 4:4)
@@GentleJeremiah-p7l You are grossly misinformed. First century Christians were ALL of the 144,000, the only Christians that are in the New Covenant and the only Christians who rightfully partake of the symbolic flesh and blood. "Christians" not of the 144,000 partake of communion unlawfully, they are not in the New Covenant with Jesus and will not go to Heaven, you have been taught incorrectly.
