The Reverón Piano Trio’s main goal is to introduce American audiences to music from Latin America, new works, and standard repertoire. Its members, Ana Maria Otamendi, Simón Gollo and Horacio Contreras are faculty at Louisiana State University, New Mexico University, and Lawrence University, respectively. Upcoming projects include their first trio recording by IBS Classical, a concert tour in Spain, the LAMI First International Conference, and concerts in the U.S. and abroad. The combined experience of the members of the trio include major solo, chamber, and orchestral collaborations, as well as master classes at Juilliard, Michigan, Oberlin, Bloomington, etc. They are entrepreneurs that run their own festivals and have played major roles at Venezuelan El Sistema; they are scholars in the area of Latin American classical music, geophysics and anthropology; and pedagogues that have published works on major publishing houses and who have presented at major music conferences.
Hermosa obra y esmerada interpretación, llena de detalles delicadísimos. Es un placer disfrutar esta música desde tan lejos. Este es un ensamble de primerísimo nivel. Muchas gracias por compartir.
Bravo! What a superb performance! Congratulations. This is an excellent rendering of this trio. Your handling of tempi and nuances in this interpretation is outstanding. And a special mention to these artists' commitment to spreading Latin-American academic music.
