can i keep the screen on while removing the bezel? because my laptop felt and and my screen corner have a yellow spot that goes away when i press on the bezel
I use this script in a VBS file: Set objExplorer = CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application") With objExplorer .Navigate("ENTER YOUR PMS URL HERE") .Visible=true End With
As per Oracle, there is this issue with certain versions and they are working on it. For now, you can right-click on the page and refresh to view the report.
when open any report can not preview as normal , in IE it automatic popup but in Egde I need refresh every time, do you have any solution for this, please help. Thanks
I have found a fix but am hesitant to implement it on a production server. When you enable script debugging option in the internet options for internet explorer you will get an script error on line 105 in OperaPrint.js. I think this is what is causing the blocking of the report. I edited the file OperaPrint.js file on the server by commenting out the error line with // and restarted the services, after that I cleared the INetCache folder of Internet Explorer and reloaded the webpage. Confirm that the new OperaPrint.js in your INetCache after running a new preview and then it should load without the F5 button. I don't know the impact of removing this line from the script so I'm hesitant to use for.
I came to your page because of a comment you made on a Dapp video, "For all of you who has package issues, don't forget to change permissions on downloaded github package, otherwise it will not write since you are not the owner." - would you make a video tutorial on how to change permissions on downloaded github packages for both windows and mac?
hey thanks i was curious how you would do this with a laptop this thin. Normally i would figure it out myself but never worked with a laptops like this
You buy a cheapo linksys or netgear and they work perfectly out the box with no issues for years. You buy this unifi equipment thinking you're getting quality equipment and it screws up after it does an update. I bought a usg and a usg 4 pro and they both crapped out after an update. My download speeds are now 1/4 of what I pay for on both units. I am locked out from disabling hardware offloading on both units without having made any changes. I tried everything and posted on every site I could find for help but all I ever got from the experts is that I don't know what I'm doing. Finally gave up and bought a $39 netgear router and the issue was resolved. Put both units in a bin for recyling. Headache over. NEVER AGAIN!
@@barryjdwyer Nice, good idea! I'll try, thanks. They don't have skins for all the APs and Cams, and Spray-paint for plastic takes longer to dry in the winter.
So an access point that is rated indoor only. Mounted on a tree that grows and mounted really down low!!! Then there's the cable laying on top of the ground to trip over. I hope the rest of the system isn't that half-a$$.
@@jbdragon3295 cable is buried sir. I don't have a video of that. Unfortunatelly that's the only AP model I could buy at the moment. I saw them working great outdoor before. In this case, because of this type of tree AP is not even snowed on.
ah, that's a bummer. Unfortunately, outdoor ones were not in stock due to supply chain issues. Fortunately, I have a good track record installing nanoHDs outside.
Dangerously stupid video! You forgot to mention the most important thing, to disable the external and the internal battery, otherwise people will blow their backlight fuses. This seems to have already happened, according to the comments below. Happened to me with a T450 some time ago. Bought a new Laptop then, because the fuse is soldered to the mainboard.
THANK YOU!!!!! I was beating my head against the wall with trying to figure out why I wasn't getting more than 400M throughput. MSS clamping was the culprit. I owe you a beer.
You probably blew the fuse of your backlight. What this idiotic video forgot to mention is that you need to disable your internal and external battery before you swap screens.
@@simonhoffmann4332 How do you do that? I can remove one battery but there's another internal one - should I just let it discharge? Is that good enough?
@@Paranoidandro1d1 the internal battery is disabled by a setting in the BIOS. Once the repair is completed, plug the laptop in using the power adapter, power on the laptop and the battery should be "turned" on again.
One question. By disabling DPI and Threat Management are you leaving your network exposed to attacks? I was under the impression that DPI and Threat Management serve as the firewall.
Good point. But you don't need to disable it on a Dream Machine or dream machine pro. Only if you find an old USG somewhere and need WAN speeds over 300mbps. I see it that way. With Unifi Threat Management you are restricting access to malicious IP Addresses, but you cannot do real threat management yet: A/V scanning, HTTP / HTTPS interception, email filtering, data loss (PII / PHI exfiltration) protection, integration with Network Access Protection / Network Access Control systems, and more. You need a different router for that. And it doesn't disable your firewall since your LAN doesn't have access from an external WAN address, unless you specify it in rules otherwise. So in that particular case a client with USG prefers speed over threat management and doesn't want to spend more hardware money. So it's on user not to click on weird links and ads in this case.
@@cokish1 the device is a work laptop, keeps trying to connect to teamviewer, apparently her office uses teamviewer, I tried to limit the connection as we have fiber service with nearly 650 up and down
@@jhanick No it is not included because this display is also used for other types. Therefore, a bezel has to be ordered when repairing a T480. By the way, this Part has its own FRU number. I work in this field and also repair for Lenovo devices in warranty.Tomorrow, for example, I also have a T480 with a defective display. ;)
Turning off DPI and Threat Management isn't really helping speed things up. What is helping speed things up is moving the channel width to VHT80+. Its basic wireless radio theory. The wider the band the faster it runs however its not as stable as VHT40 or below. You may see clashing depending upon the environment, etc. Its dependent upon your unique setup, there is not a one size fits all setup. You also need to make sure you look at hard setting the channel itself to keep it from overlapping. There are a lot of good videos out there that going into detail on how to do the channel setups.
All you did was turn off your fire wall. Defeating the entire purpose of using this router. If your internet speed is faster than the DPI THROUGHPUT of this device you should be using the PRO version which is rack mountable but can sit normally as well. UDM-PRO allows all TRAFFIC with ALL firewall features on. The throughput speed of traffic is 3.5 gbps with all firewalls on. That 3X times faster than the fastest fiber internet in the United States. And the pro is only 300$. Pennies for a great firewall
It's not all what I did. And DPI is not the entire purpose of using router either. Correct, you don't need to do it on UDM-Pro or Dream Machine. It's for older USG device. You might need to disable mss clamping on DM to get 1Gbps though.
setting the widest channels is generally bad advice... the wider a channel, the more prone to interference it gets. as well as required transmit power (thus possible pissing off the neighbors if you are in a busy location and disrupt their wifi) www.reddit.com/r/Ubiquiti/comments/6kx9dg/help_understanding_channel_width/ is a good reference.
Channel bonding - Wider channels directly increase throughput. If you want more than 500 Mbps on your wireless device - that's the way to go. Default Unifi channel width is too narrow for higher speed. This was set in a standalone house with no neighbours around. You can set Transmission power on your Unifi AP as well, It's a different setting.
Sweet just got one of these bad boys free with a shattered screen, amazing what some people will just give up on. Replacement is exactly how I expected it to go, but I'm still glad that people make videos about this stuff just in case I'm wrong.
