Hertz & Dunn Masonry and Landscapes is an artisan company geared to unique stone works and beautiful, timeless landscape vistas. Located in the historic Bucks County Pennsylvania, we are adept at historic works and buildings. The art of traditional stonework and talented craftsmen is a thinning trade. Hertz & Dunn focuses on quality first and mimicking those that have perfected the craft for thousands of years before us. This channel will demonstrate the work we complete as well as "how to's" on traditional masonry and landscape techniques. Enjoy!

Mapp gas should work good too? A lot less labor intensive too.

What type mortar did you use? Hydrolic 3.5?

Extremely impressive on the inside, really looks beautiful! do you use normal mortar to hold the fire bricks together and if so, what mix do you use. Cheers for the upload

great work, but if it rains, the roof will shed its water right into the BBQ grill?!?

Great bluestone video series! It would be nice to see the project in final form. I am about to have bluestone coping installed and I have gotten several opinions on how to attach it to the bond beam. One setter said to use thinnest after leveling the bond beam. Another said he would install it on regular mortar. I have seen others glue it down with liquid nails! Anyway, I was curious how you set bluestone coping. I want to make sure this job gets done right the first time. Thanks! Ed
