Him using knives and being compared to a surgeon by Alfred was great, I love the fact this Batman is violent but still is ideologically there mentally. Also, it is incredibly interesting that the gap between Bruce and Batman is so little, that Batman in this universe actually is Bruce's dark side, so a lot of Bruce's good is still there, and that he still has the angst of Batman, just contained, and isolated from the rest of the world, unlike the mainline timeline where he borders on having DID. Also making Alfred's line about how he can blend in only because he is a nobody pretty accurate, as anyone with any information and experience would be able to realize it is him quickly. Also, he actually seems like a far better person with motives, not completely tunning out the family, is actually positive, and is actually heroic and what he does is proportional to the crime (Like with the cleaver villain who lost his hand for his murders), which is interesting for a dark timeline counterpart. Sorry for the rant, I just think there is a lot of cool stuff there. Edit: Also, I like the fact he doesn't have trauma towards firearms, he just doesn't use them due to the risk of killing someone, and not needing them, as he didn't see the gun, and seemed to be a lot less sheltered, and more mature with the incident due to his different life. Him downing Alfred with his own shotgun WAS SICK, I DID NOT KNOW I NEEDED THAT
Ironically, he shines brighter in a way compared to the actual timeline, it feels like canon batman is a bad ending, but odds are, something is going to happen. It is very likely one of Bruce's childhood friends are going to fight him, and when he nearly saves them, the Joker kills them to make an entrance, probably Killer Croc. Martha might die later too. Also, I bet the Joker isn't coming out in one piece once Bruce fights him, this version of him is actually dangerous, and doesn't allow repeat criminals or serial killers to continue again, he just doesn't kill them (He might cause the vat incident that way). Overall, I like this version so far, can't wait to see more.
That's the writer I trust. He gave us the court of owls, gave joker 2 great storylines, deathmetal and metal were fine, not my liking but I had some great time reading these, can't wait for more. 1st issue was worth the wait.
While I still think number 4 was better, this one moved me man. the cover and the first page alone are just so striking, with one of Americas very own standing against the symbol of its colonizers, but as a reflection so our first view of Charli is literally through the distortive and reductive view offered by the shield. I hope Steve gets to keep being the “go white boy go white boy go” guy too.
That first page was the part I hated the most. It served nothing to the story other than the writer taking a stab at America just like he already did in the entirety of issue 2
I own the same figure. There's supposed to be a magnet on Iron Giant's shoulder so Hogarth can stay. Perhaps move him just a little over to his shoulder.
Wish more people reacted to this incredible gem. I accidentally stumbled upon this movie half-way through and couldn’t turn away. For whatever reason I watched the whole thing start to finish, also on Tubi, years later when I randomly thought of it. It was AWESOME. Love that the film was basically all Practical Effects, really made it shine
This book was awful. I didnt have high expectations but it was really bad I might not even look at book 2. Cookie cutter writing and a velociraptor. Get the f out of here 😂
