Ooh I totally agree with you about None of This is True!! I thought I was the only one! 🤣 I'm intrigued by The Hurricane Wars, but I've never read yet fanfic or fanfic inspired books. I'm so glad you enjoyed Beach Read overall! That one and Funny Story are my favorite Emily Henry books!

That’s a tricky one! I tend to read books more geared towards women I suppose. But I would say James Patterson is a good one if you like thrillers! I’ve heard fantastic things about Brandon Sanderson for fantasy
I always find it awkward when the little free libraries are in someone's yard, too! Most of the ones I've seen in my town are in someone's yard or on school properties. And...I'm just not comfortable going onto school properties during the school day to go browse. 🤣
As a challenge, I'm only reading books I find in LFLs this month. It's fun bc I'm reading things I would normally not read ... and enjoying most of them! Right now I'm 100 pgs into Hello Stranger by Katherine Center! 🙃📚📮

As someone who has recently come into the bookish community and started reading again, the trope point is very true! I’m *really* bad about not reading a book unless it has certain tropes or looking for books based on tropes only, and not the plot itself. I’m definitely missing out on some good ones!
I agree with you that the number of books owned by a person is their choice. Not all people, or even all readers are book collectors but some people are. Some of us enjoy not just the content of books but also their feel, look and even their scent (book sniffers be proud lol). My book collection is as much a part of my decor as my furniture and momentos.
Agreed with you about not counting only certain genres or "serious" books as real reading. And definitely agree about YA books and spicy scenes. I got Icebreakers from the library and was so surprised it was YA!

Hi Hannah, this is the first time I've visited your channel and I really enjoyed your video. I read A Study in Drowning and Hunt On Dark Waters earlier this month and enjoyed both of them. Have you read The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon? It's a historical fiction, which was fantastic. Happy reading 📚📚
Obviously there's more to it given it's the main character's grandmother's story but hearing the words "historical fiction" and "1990's" made me cringe! The decade I was born in is starting to be called history, I'm so sad! 😅 Oh well. Is the Truly Devious series worth getting into? Also your puppy is super cute.
I honestly feel the same way! I was born in that decade to. If it helps, half of it is set pre World War II. I just forgot to mention that lol. And I loved truly devious! If you like ya mystery I think you’d enjoy it. And thank you!
@@Hannahbooks96Well, that makes me feel better, lol. I watch a lot of philosophy videos and there was a discussion between these two Oxford students, and for some reason they looked to be wearing tuxedos, lol. I don't think I've ever worn a suit. And I don't plan to anytime soon!
