What a recording of the Sibelius... what a sweet, sweet sound at the beginning! And such excellent dictation of rhythm. Definitely one of the best I've heard, if not the very best! Bravo!
I thought it was a joke and maestro starts to play like he does it on his young Paganini videos. But he didn't. That wasn't a joke. That was something else.
It is always a pleasure for me to hear their music and their interpretation. After watching a few videos of you giving lessons, I also realised that you are an excellent teacher. 🙂
Managed to catch Mr. Mintz after his breathtaking performance in Tokyo, 1992. The concert hall was buzzing, and his performance of the Tchaikovsky violin concerto left us all in awe. The audience's standing ovation was so heartfelt.. Mintz graced us with an unforgettable encore. He took his time signing our programmes, sharing a word or two with each of us about our love for music. For a student violinist like myself, meeting Mintz was inspirational...a moment of genuine connection with a musical legend.
