Laurens should have waited for the inside turn and overtook him there instead of this move. But who am I to say something about that. It happened in a short time span and they probably didn't mean to drive so agressively against each other.
People clearly don't know how racing goes. You can clearly see the Porsche is not giving space to the R8, where the R8 is supposed to go? Fly? And the R8 didn't even touch the Porsche, the Porsche lost control there and we all know how tricky that section is, that is the only place where you shouldn't be overtaking or to be side by side with another car on the Nordschlife.
Thanks for the explanation! They never really go in deep on tyres when watching it on TV. Another question (potentially silly): should it not be „Dries“ and not „Drys“. English is not my main language and I thought Y in singular gets to IE in plural?
@@IgnitionP google search: "If a singular noun ends in -y and the letter before the -y is a consonant, you usually change the ending to -ies to make the noun plural. If the singular noun ends in -y and the letter before the -y is a vowel, simply add an -s to make it plural"
F1 is mandating supposedly carbon neutral fuels (about as fictional as it comes), and then increasing the size of the battery - a device that has a MASSIVE carbon footprint and is extremely volatile when there is a fire… Now that is logic for you.
The Audi was faster & had position. The Porsche should have relinquished said position & let the Audi pass & continue racing. Crashing out ended any hope of regaining the lost position.
