Two of the wisest young men I know, awesome to see how much both of you have matured and become more open with yourselves and others even in just a year of knowing you both, it really spreads and has made me a better person too. thank you
My man, appreciate you. Yeah crazy that it's been a year. Glad to be on the journey with all of you lads and it's only more ruthless accountability, wholesome memories and paradigm-shifting convos from here on out!
Loved this video, that’s some going. I love earthing ( but in the comfort of the park or garden) think I might have a go up snowdon looks beautiful.( but with mi shoes on) impressive doing that barefoot made it look easy.
This short film reminds me how we were always building river dams as kids at the merry dale above slawit. Love the sound of a running stream, it’s such a blessing to be outside enjoying such beautiful countryside.
You have been missed mate! Enjoyed hearing you share your thoughts and this makes me wanna go for a cold dip again soon. I actually once went in the water at that same spot when I was a little kid and the current took me away so mi dad had to dive in and swoop me up 😂
Good to see you back Charlie! Ironically I released a video on authenticity this mornin too! Great minds eh! Like you said it's being true to yourself, but without a filter. Most people monitor their behaviour, how they act, what they say, but I believe true authenticity is letting go and being that person you are when no-ones watching, dancing around the house to your favourite music, telling silly jokes to yourself in the mirror, if you were to still act this way while others are around you, this to me is real authenticity. Great cold water spot there btw 💦👏🏻
I’m not sure what authenticity means. It’s a way of conducting yourself, it’s not just to be what you are, otherwise everyone would be authentic automatically. It’s a way of acting that’s truthful to who you really are. But to ask the question of ‘who am I really?’ Is an impossible thing to unpack. It’s difficult to put your finger on who you are because who we are isn’t one static thing, who we are is id, ego and super ego. You are the thing that a whole number of other things have in common, which is to say that what you are doesn’t end with your body. We have a past, present and a future. We are a story that is unfolding. Only God fully knows who we are. So to be true to who you really are is complicated because you’re not only what you have done, you’re not only who you are now and your potential future is something you can’t deny. To be authentic is to be truthful which inevitably means to admit that we are also liars. To be authentic is to place telling the truth at a higher point in the hierarchy of your values than anything else. It’s a courageous surrendering to truth that has to occur in a sort of battlefield in your mind or heart. Perfect authenticity is an unattainable ideal because no one is 100% transparent with themselves, never mind others. If authenticity is about being honest about who you are then it is inevitably an adventure because to find out who you are is to explore the potential of who you could be, the future is an undeniable part of who we are. Authenticity is a journey and a process of sharing who you are with the world in a way that is oriented by a commitment to the truth maybe?
@charlie my new track might be good for you to use as a theme song for your podcast 😂? Jay ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wHDDfgLFUvc.htmlfeature=shared
