As a child, my husband faced both physical abuse and cancer. When I met him, his stutter was so profound that introducing himself was a challenge. As I sit down to write this message, it still feels like a dream to me that Teresa Janette Brock came into my life at a time when I was at my lowest. The past few years have been nothing short of a nightmare for me with one tragedy after another taking a toll on my mental and physical health. I lost my daughter to a rare illness, a loss that I still can't come to terms with. She was the light of my life and the reason for my existence.
