absolutely love it. Do you have any tips or tricks on setting the plywood prep-bit for your dedicated router. I set it up on my router table and it took me forever to get it right, but id rather have it on a handheld router.
Spencer, you really should make the tool deployment section of this video into a "short" it's great to see for guys who are moving over to a ramp and wheels, like I am
On doors that are being painted, I pull off the center trim piece, and them put in screws . It keeps it from getting pulled one way. Then just tack the strip back on and done!
I found your channel whilst looking at options for perfect mitres on long sections. Now binge watching your videos. A wealth of valuable and practical information. Wood is now so expensive here in the UK. I want to build mono stringer staircase with open treads. Essentially, box making with mitres on all sides. Likewise for the stringer. I will use your ‘perfect mitres’ video to guide the process. Have you made mono stringer stairs? If so, a video on tips would be appreciated. Thank you for your work.
In woodworking over 40 yrs and EVERYTHING in my shop in on a cart. You have tons of room in that monster shop. SAVE YOUR BACK!!! If you don't and you hurt yourself you will have to hire dozens of idiots before you find one that works out. Save your back and sanity- bend down for nothing heavier than a screw.
I just purchased a used machine for a hundred bucks and I've been working to refurbish it. It even came with the 517 template for the faceplate. The thing I'm most concerned about is the gearbox, which I'm scared to open up for fear of springs flying. Does anyone have any service advice beyond the parts schematic?
Love your content keep it coming. Very well organized very well. Set up. I like it. Those outfit tables for your saw, would love to know how you made them. I’d like to see a video on that.
It is easy for me to say as it is not my money but the ideal solution was to have bought a proper panel saw with a professional fence then you could have simply bought a Panhans feeder. That’s fits quickly on to the fence. .
I tried this but it didn't work very well with birch plywood from Menards. The veneer is too thin. I won't be buying that again. What kind of plywood do you use?
how much was just this part of the bid? The hours that went into this seem crazy just for a storage closet. If you don't want to give a $ amount I get it, but did you make money, break even, or lose money.
The Jamb Master 'J' . This reminded me of my lath instructor... very concise, easy to follow and monotone... Then, like Louie, 20mins in drops some in his humor; "Stepped pipe gauge thingy-majigger 🤨🤣🤣🤣. I took as much trades school stuff as I could in H.S. I chose Construction; TPH was I thinking... 🧐😵💫
I see that you use segmented poplar for most of your trim. Does it paint well? In some applications we Would 45 degree bevel rip the bottom so that you can block plane easier or even hand sand that scribe. Great job on the video!
Great video. Very helpful as I replace stairs for daughter. Is Pl Premium and nails always sufficient, or should screws (plugs) and PL Premium be considered. This is a replacement of treads/risers on 40 year old stringers? Thanks Andy
Excellent value from your video. Your design ideas are simple and avoiding the fuss. Well done. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Following your channel.
