Essentially End of Darkness is to Twilight of Spirits, what Arc the Lad 3 is to Arc the Lad 2! Except 3 was an okay-ish game. While End of Darkness just CEMENTS that the story should have ended in Twilight of Spirits (what makes it WORSE is Twilight essentially CONCLUDED the entire story of the series with the END of the Dark One as he met his FINAL defeat in Twilight which might as well be Arc the Lad 4 story wise! And Arc the Lad 3 was more turning 2's story ending into a more optimistic ending as at LEAST you can say the Dark One was sealed away for good, to the point he had to WAIT till the events of Twilight of Spirits which is from what I guess 1000 of years later!) Best to say I don't care for this one and essentially just treat the story as concluding in 4/Twilight of Spirits and End of Darkness is an unnecessary after story (Tales of Xilla 2 was similar to End of Darkness, but that one wasn't TOO bad and I feel TERRIBLE comparing that game to this one!)
26: Aquaria Towers (Why do people like this one? It is so frustrating!) 25: Icy Speedway (I hate the flight levels so much!) 24: Ocean Speedway (Add the vehicles and it is absolute hell!) 23: Canyon Speedway (The vibes are cooler I guess) 22: Winter Tundra (Love the theme, but it’s kinda boring tbh) 21: Dragon Shores (A really cool idea executed poorly) 20: Metro Speedway (Could’ve been great if it wasn’t a flight level) 19: Sunny Beach (This beach level goes in one ear and out the other) 18: Fracture Hills (I understand the hate, but I can’t hate this one. Sorry) 17: Summer Forest (This home world is ICONIC! The levels in it are ICONIC!) 16: Shady Oasis (I forget this one exists. Which is a shame bc it’s solid) 15: Idol Springs (A funny level with some fun missions) 14: Colossus (Just bigger and better than Idol Springs) 13: Magma Cone (The climbing section is EPIC!!!) 12: Autumn Plains (This homeworld is awesome!) 11: Glimmer (Spyro 2 & 3 nailed it with the first levels!) 10: Mystic Marsh (These theme levels always stand out to me) 9: Cloud Temples (The sky levels never fail to impress) 8: Crystal Glacier (My favorite ice level, which says a lot) 7: Zephyr (The enemies are truly awesome!) 6: Scorch (Reminds me of Crash 3 which is only a good thing) 5: Hurricos (Short, but extremely effective) 4: Skelos Badland (A bit overrated, but still a great one!) 3: Breeze Harbour (Zephyr AT NIGHT is better to me) 2: Robotica Farms (The smashing pumpkin mission is a blast!) 1: Metropolis (Perfect level in every single way!)
I DON'T NORMALLY COMMENT ON RU-vid VIDEOS BUT SEEING YOUR TOP TWO MADE ME EXCLAIM UR SO RIGHTTTTTT GREAT VIDEO GREAT OPINION!!!!!!!! I'd love to know your favorite boss fights in order for this game too!! And I love the comment mentioning Spongebob: Bfbb :D This video is 4 yrs old as I comment so I def gotta see if you did the BFBB or Ratchet rankings too!
I actually see a lot similarities between this game's plot and Yugioh (duelist kingdom arc) A boy's grandfather's soul/life is trapped by an evil freak The boy uses ancient powers he unlocks through some ancient object(s) And now has to battle these "shadow" raiths (In yugioh yugi must prevent the "Shadow" games)
prob my fav game of all time. A modern day version of this game or something similar would be awesome... Free to play with purchasable cosmetics and maybe even dungeons or dlc packages... I think it could be like a more casual POE and an accessible arcade experience for the modern gamer. Im not gonna lie too, I like the bad graphics, they give an acrcady 80's vibe to me that reminds me of the 80s trends with shows like Stranger things... I dont mind bad graphics at all as long as gameplay is good. Nice Vid!
This game is part of my childhood. The gameplay and story is top notch. Now that i look back on it, it's more of an anime. I still have the complete disc. Memories
I'm around 5 hours into my first ever playthrough in 2024! This game has a similar feel to Gladius - a good thing IMO. Loses marks for very hit & miss music which cannot be disabled, and unskippable cutscenes, but that's all. Everything else is pretty cute, and fun.
If you're thinking of playing this game, there is a ROM hack for the complete game. Unlocks all beasts for you to obtain, including the Kalma beasts from the endgame
Spyro never clicked with me, its a ocd thing. At least in spyro 3(the only one I played). Very big areas make me anxious on that game because i want to find all crystals on the go.
Pokemon Gold/Silver has a Flying-type Gym Leader who gives you the Zephyr Badge, so when I saw the level Zephyr Heights I was also like "wait, what...?" And Zephyr Heights also happens to be the exact name of a place in MLP G4, which is one of the few things I know about that show. Still, awkward that the name was kind of unintentionally stolen by MLP of all things...
Maybe don't review games you havent beat? I agree with some points like the time challanges being annoying, but with the combat and platforming challanges, well, they are challenges to test out your skill, that's why they are hard. They aren't needed to beat the game like the driving or sliding stages. It's kinda clear you have no passion or insight for the game you are reviewing. Furthermore, the game was released NOT EVEN A FULL YEAR after BfBB, so atleast respect the game of how it turned out in such a short development period. Not a good review, try again.
I am here from farther future than other future guy, I am still going to throw this in the Batocera emulator I am making with 256gb flashdrives from Samsung that are only 17.99 on Amazon! Also we have artificial intelligence, nuclear batteries, a collapsing American nation, and are on the cusp of achieving true Nuclear Fusion which will change the world (For The Wealthy). Anyways, greetings from 2024 past citizens!
This video and the channel not having more views, more subs is a crime, you should have more subs and views, I love this video because I too a fan of avatar and think of playing the avatars games.
After plays World as my Introduction, I tried playing 3U on Wii U and found the Light Bowgun just not the same when it comes to aiming. It's not as modern in terms of moving the camera while aiming.
Why the endless speech which does not let US listen to the sounds and music? Pleaaaseee keep in mind it's about THE GAME not yourself showing how deep is your knowledge
I just beat this game last night. I’ve never played all the way through funny enough although I’ve always adored it. I love how simple and fast paced it is. Exploring the different areas is super fun and the art style is so fun to experience. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I always love finding people who love the things I love too.
